This was an awesome show. It started raining during the set. We could see it moving in from behind the stage, pushing towards us. The wind was blowing the rain everywhere. Despite the weather, the true lovers of the music where going wild jumping around in the mud. Just another great day in FLA. What a challenge to spin in those conditions, and he did it well.
I was there. Other DJs playing at the same time in different areas witnessed their fans run for cover. But all of Sasha and Digweed's fans stood in the pouring rain without skipping a beat. I remember at one point Sasha grabbed a camera/camcorder and walked into the rain on stage to film the fans. He was shocked at the loyalty we displayed.
I was there in all this craziness. What the video doesn't show you, I will tell you. The set started around 7 pm, and within twenty minutes or so, the weather went from clear skies and 80° to dark grey with a windy rainstorm moving in that dropped the temperature to maybe 65°. Sasha and John were looking at the audience trying to get a feel of what to do. Not one person ran for cover unlike the all the other people at other artists' stages. The entire event turned dead instantly, except for thier audience. So Sasha and Digweed (and staff) pulled back their gear as much as possible and started to cover up as much of it as they could as is visible in this video. You could see the delight in their faces...absolutely astonished that not a single soul left their performance in the high wind and cold heavy rain to seek shelter. I was posted up in the downpour enjoying every minute of their epic set. When their set ended, I ran to the nearest stand selling merchandise to buy a dry T-shirt to replace the drenched freezing cold one I was in 😂. Phenomenal experience!!
what are you guys talking about? This music is so DEEP! No one is gonna scream YAY! and dance like fucking salsa NO WAY! This music is only for conosseurs, for people that know this is more for your brain than for your feet. AWESOME set.
Listen to it! It's full of mucky house, robot funk, and the devil's trance. I was there and Diggers spun me around, flipped me, and set me down as he destroyed the grass dancefloor.
yeah i was wanting the same thing, i am in this vid actually to the left of the stage. Sasha n Weed put on a great set, and i would like to know what they mixed.
When I started listening to this music 12 years ago you had to start with Oakenfold (Yuck) and then work your way up through Deep Dish, Nick Warren, and Dave Seaman, generally via Renaissance, to get to these guys. Sure, it's an acquired taste, but once you get it you'll realize that musically Sasha and John Digweed are THE masters at what they do, and dictate musical trends YEARS in advance. Repetition? You're not listening closely enough. Go see them live, then maybe you'll get it Alima.
Actually I didnt have VIP access to enter. The video was brought in...had to slip the security guard a 10 spot and he was cool I'm not too sure on how the meet and greet goes, but from what I've heard, it's just waht it sounds like.
everyone is entitled to an opinion, even though I agree that deeper techier sounds are more interesting than trance, doesn't mean that someone can't like it.
Remembering shows where I saw Sasha and/or Digweed makes my stomach turn it was so good. If don't you understand what they do and how they do it, you won't like it. Tiesto plays basically the same song for 3 hrs and people eat it up. I don't get it. I've seen 2 hr to 6 hr sets by S +/or D and they play EVERYTHING. House, minimal, techno, tribal, breaks, electro- God, when they drop electro it may melt your face. Sure, most people don't get it, but alima is jealous just because he's missing out.
yeah, i get that. what i don't get is the fact that it says at the top "Sasha and John Digweed" but i see no sacha... just because they're not joined at the hip, shouldn't a video entitled as such contain both the superstars? but i mean when you can't even reach the same conclusion as me and are stuck miles behind i'd get frustrated if someone said what i just said too
i can KINDA see what you mean and where your coming from. Seeing as how EDM has less things that people can catch on to like lyrics and such. Once you get past the phase where you find it to be "boring" then it kinda takes on a new phase.
dude you have no idea what your talking about this was like probably 12 noon, there is practically nobody at Ultra at that time, thats when doors open, Ultra Music Festival the whole WMC is the biggest electronic music festival in the world, trust me, northern ireland knows how to party hahahaha riiiiight
How repetitive? ... your comment shows how ignorant you are; anyhow, nobody asked you to open and watch this Video.... John Digweed is one of the fewest Dj´s that tells you deep stories thru his mix, in other words, if you know about Electronic Music, then you will understand the magic of his set. Congratulations Miami for this important event! Isaac Colombia.
tiesto does not do a live act.?. pvd, ottavian, those are live acts, when u actually play the keys...tiesto just mixes, and hes not very good either, digweeds mixing is soo long and smooth
Have to agree with Alima. Music with no substance and no variarion bores the pants off me! People want to dance and be pumped up at a festival, they dont want monotonous and 2 stepping tunes. Its about pumping up the crowd and giving them highs and lows to react to!

That was the best part, right as the music started to climax, it started pouring down, nobody moved, we just kept dancing :D

More than 10 years after seeing this video, I still like it as if it were the first time!!!

Actually I didnt have VIP access to enter. The video was brought in...had to slip the security guard a 10 spot and he was cool
I'm not too sure on how the meet and greet goes, but from what I've heard, it's just waht it sounds like.
Thank heavens they had some bin liners to protect the DJ booth. Looked a bit windy blow that day.
its a remix of "mono culture - free" or another version without vocals, but i dont know :(

unfortunately this comment shows that you aren't very well versed in electronic music
psy for psycho :D
Translation: Spanish » English
These people have no soul ... and never went to a Creamfields Buenos Aires?
This set sucked. Also Sasha's equip was taken apart because of the rain.
