I think he used one reference for a real owl and one with zoom for eyes/( he zoomed )

quick q: how long did it take you to draw this eye in real time??
I finally see why shading doesnt work, my blending stick is usually rock hard and before and after still looks the same to me which puts me off shading, so either i have the wrong type of blending stick or using it wrong.

Which pencil do you use for the dark black colour? I tried charcoal, but it's not as effective

I only know how to draw anime
I think im gonna try it cuz i love to draw.
I challenged myself to draw realistic things starting with the eyes of animals.
Manga art is cool. Same for the anime animation. xD It is always useful with drawing many things to get better with manga. Even manga artists I've learned practice that as well as manga art.
This may be a dumb question, but where do you find the references for all your drawings? Do you just search online for them?
