Loved to hear what Charley had to say about the old days. Things have quickly changed since this interview. I firmly believe this team will turn it around sooner then 3 years.
I love how all your interviews end with your subject saying all the things about you that we already know. You are very respectful, yet politely demanding. You are a true pro and a real one. We are luck to have you. You arent the only voice I listen to... but you and Logan are the "A team" when it comes to the commanders podworld.
Incredible interview. Incredible compliment and flowers given to you by one of the greats John! You deserve it! Can't wait for the DC media culture to change in the direction you've spearheaded. You're one of my favorite media personalities (besides Marty Brennaman and his son tbh). Keep up the great profession John!
Fantastic interview, as usual Keim. You're a champion in this space. Always asking the right question and bringing the best out of the quality guests you bring on. I always come away feeling more informed on both my team and the league
When people start discussing whether or not JaydenDaniels can be coached out of not taking the big hits or not,my memory immediately reverts back to these same conversations about RG3….how they are going to “coach him up”so he doesn’t take the unnecessary big shots, and how he needs to learn to slide….(he never did learn how to either one!)
CHARLEY CASSERLY SAID: "FIT. There's two ways to look at FIT. Does the guy FIT the system. Does the guy FIT the system. That's crucial. If you're going to be a zone team, okay, then, do you sign a corner who's a great man-to-man guy and pay him a ton of money? I don't know if we need to do that in that situation. Okay. You're trying to FIT the system..." And that was the mistake we made with signing former Bengals man-to-man coverage cornerback William Jackson to that three-year, $40.5 million deal with $26 million guaranteed. Then we got rid of him after a year because he didn't acclimate well to the zone scheme we were running most times.
Great interview, thank you but little bit confused, George Allen n Gibbs coached the commanders, right? 😂😂😂. Never once did he say commanders, thank you!!!!
I was feeling Charley until he said the culture didn’t need to change. Culture was horrible under Ron Rivera so now I’m looking at him side eye LOL. It’s never a good culture when the coaches are throwing players under the bus and the head coach is throwing other coaches under the bus. It amazes me how people can just overlook the short comings of those they like but are quick to criticize or put under a microscope those they don’t like or are not comfortable with having no real rhyme or reason. Baker Mayfield is a playoff quarterback … what? Any quarterback that plays in the playoffs is a playoff quarterback . What is he talking about LOL. He’s on point on some of his topics but he’s all over the place on others. I like the way you respect all of your guess John. Much props!
Yes, Mayfield has taken two teams to the playoffs and won a playoff game both times. Why would he not be a "playoff qb?!" BTW, he threw 22 TD's and 21 Int's his second season, Howell had 21 TD passes and 21 Int's...
@@dmoore2272 I don't know, that confused me too. It's tough being a young qb in the NFL because coaching, system and team determines the success... It was an interesting interview, but I'm with you, front office and management were a mess, and not a "good culture!"
@@escaped1534 on a more positive note I’m excited about the future for the first time in a long time. I must admit that Dan Quinn wasn’t my first choice but it looks like he was the best choice. If this leads to this franchise being competitive and productive I don’t have a problem with being wrong. I love being wrong LOL.
@@dmoore2272 Oh yea! Did you see the video of GM Peter's mik'd up at the Combine. He was ecstatic about getting Quinn and said he was their 1st choice??! Yes, there is definitely hope in the air...
Fields had the 6th best O-line that gave him an excellent 2.66 seconds per drop back and was very good against the blitz! Plus, the Bears had the 12th best D, yet threw for 1,000 less yards than Howell with the 23rd ranked O-line that was worst in the entire NFL at picking up the blitz, along with the worst D in the NFL! Dude, some of us deal in FACTS!
Casserly said it, the Redskins do not have enough good players, emphasizing the OL. Trade the #2 pick to get much needed draft choices and build a decent OL around Sam. Plus, Eric Bieniemy was a disaster. This was proven by zero NFL teams wanting to give him a shot, zero.
I knew Casserly would drop gems but he outdid himself. The man still has his fastball!!

Wow, Casserly at the end…❤ John, he sorta passed the torch to you.
Great interview; good insight!
Excellent interview!!! Nothing else to say. It was very informative and flowed very well.
Very insightful & thoughtful guest

Excellent conversation John, and very informative . Much respect to Charley too!
love casserly! great interview keim!
Very, very educational! These are the type of interviews that help temper my expectations.
…combination of a lot of skill and a bit of luck
You’re the best in the business John, love your work
Besides L.Taylor, the NFC East also had Reggie White in it(when he played with the Eagles)
Charley Casserly great interview John, Charley is always creditable and proving to be a winner.
Getting rid of Sweat was def a BIG mistake
What did he do in Washington for 5 years. He did shit
Snyder and Ron are gone dude, get over it! Sweat actually had 12 sacks this year, which goes to show you he was being coached wrong!
@@zacharyminor9593 who mentioned Snyder and Rivera lol. Sure wasn’t me. Numbnuts

What moves exactly he signed a 33 year old TE?
Love Casserly.... sounds a bit like an old mobster ... Just change "ok" for "see"
I've never heard a human end every sentence with the word "Ok" lol
Maybe even more than Sam Howell starts his answers to every question with a "Yeeaahh.."
Sam ain't it playboi...

If Fields goes to another team for a second round pick, I'll be pissed. Then you can trade down for tons of picks, WHICH Washington NEEDS!

Maybe before the Howell trade. They have to pick a QB at 2
