It was nice to finally meet you! I did about 100 raids and got 7 shinies (4 Necrozma, 2 Xurkitree, 1 Nihelego) I think 5 of them had the background. My prize was a hundo Necrozma (not shiny) in the last few hours on Sunday. My total shiny haul was 149 (41 on Friday, 47 on Saturday and 61 on Sunday). Got every non-beast shiny in the event except an unown "H". Very happy with that! The event was great. Except for a little bit of bad weather everything went smoothly. My only gripe was the actual catching of the beasts. You were smart to do it early in the morning. I caught on to that and did it Sunday morning. It was so annoying to have them break out of 10 + balls when I wanted to spend more time catching or doing more raids. Beast balls would have made it so, so, so much better. I hope the rest of your time in Japan goes well, and safe travels back to the States!

Ngl, this video has me a little worried for NYC go fest, as I really want to try and get all shiny with the backgrounds, but these location card odds are horrible. They should make it so all shinies and hundos are guaranteed to have the location cards imo.
Or just guaranteed backgrounds for all raided mons for ticket holders honestly. The people that are there paid money to travel there, for the raid passes, & for the tickets w/ bonuses. They deserve at least a special background on 100% of the raids at the very least in case they get shafted on the luck

There are literally people in this thread saying they got well over 100, you either didn’t grind hard enough, or weren’t lucky. Go fests are never advertised as a way to get any number of shinies, and thats not really what its about, regardless they’re not guaranteed, and the entire point is that they’re rare. Make some friends and enjoy the game.
