Honestly Jongdae's DMD album is a masterpiece . I had my own interpretation for each song but I was so wrong in many songs until I bought the album and translated the messages he gave and then watching his interpretation on vlive. This song and hold you tight spread warmth and its for lovers then good night for every one having hard time , my dear and amaranath are healing message to broken souls still remembering good memories you never know falling in love with an ex who is now a friend,so 3 songs were continuotion of beautiful goodbye.
So really this album is very artistic it has the message of healing for lovers ,someone who had a breakup,anyone going through hard time. Other than 2 songs hold you tight and shall we , I dont think other 4 songs are about his wife as many people mention here.My dear is a break up song with happiness not sadness. I cant wait for his next album.
