Expert Series : Season 3: Dealing with Dementia

The Dementia India Report of 2010 had mentioned that there were 3.7 million cases of the disease in that year, and the number of patients was likely to double by 2030. Ten years later, till 2020, we had already crossed the 5 million mark.
Dementia leads to impaired memory, thinking, language, prolonged comprehension, judgement, decision-making and orientation. As time passes, the patient cannot carry out their day-to-day tasks on their own. Eventually, the disease gets worse with ageing. We are joined in for an eye opening session by Dr. Akshay Chordia, Consultant Psychiatrist of Anandvan Wellness Centre and Cure Health Centre in our third season of ‘Ask the Expert Series’ on 8th Sept’21. He shed light on this life-threatening disease and how we can take care of our loved ones who suffer from this ailment. The session was moderated by Ms. Aarati Savur, CEO of Parisar Asha.
