    I have to say my opinion on this: Tupac isn't a street gangster-rapper, he's a studio gangster-rapper. If you want to know who's the real street gangster-rapper it's 50. 50 may not be affiliated with any sort of gangs like the crips and bloods but he's a street gangster/hustler. The only person in my opinion that can be considered equal to 50 is Eazy-E, and not Tupac.
    Tupac is the physical definition of Political Hip-Hop, while 50 is the physical definition of Street Gangster Hip-Hop.

    • @yousefp3591
      @yousefp3591 3 ปีที่แล้ว +21

      Tupac was more of a political activist on wax. Most of the "gangsta attitude" came because of horrible influences like Suge. Unfortunately interscope (Jimmy Iovine) basically let him rot in prison, and suge was the one holding the golden key to freedom. But there was a catch, as always..
      Comparing Tupac and 50 is unfair to both of them. Both in different lanes. So I guess we agree mostly. Just sad how circumstances and suge lead such a beautiful artistic person into ganglife, which ultimately lead to his death

If you know anything about Pac you know he’s from a lot of hoods. Baltimore, New York, Oakland, Atlanta, LA etc. Pac was the streets so how could he not be street…
      To keep it a buc Fif is more than street as well.
      But I get it some folks love to compare and contrast. Like two things can’t be true. Pac and Fif have several similarities and several differences period. If you pop two crooked cops in the streets how in the hell could you not be considered a street gangsta. Pac did so much righteous stuff in the streets and out the streets his whole swag was gangsta and not just street, but he was an G overall in so many aspects.

Pac was involved in so much, but definitely he was in the streets. He was actually in the street more than anything in several hoods for the majority of his short life.

    When I was younger I thought 50 was the reason for all the violence that went on in my neighborhood. All the gangster dudes who were always causing trouble and doing awful shtt to people always seemed to be playing his music and reciting his lyrics, so I correlated his music with influencing dudes in a negative way. I resented him for a while because of it.

      You were kinda right music can influence emotions but people make their own choices we can’t just blame it on music I mean I use to listen to NBA young boy a rapper and I definitely felt like swinging on people for looking at me wrong but I didn’t act on that emotion people have to have self control

      It's true thoooo. I'm from Trinidad an I grew up in a place called laventille an it's already a ghetto neighborhood. But they mostly listened to Jamaica dancehall music back then. But when 50 came out the crime rate an murder rate went bananas

      The thing is rappers rhyme words cast spells and sell lies… they are influential people they are literally our voice and a voice we listen to. So what they say whether true or not affects the listeners in some compactly.
