    Watching this video makes me want to cry because I’ve had all of these symptoms for years and have been dismissed by every single doctor. They tell me I’m completely healthy but I know something is wrong. I’m making an appointment for my OBGYN today & refuse to be dismissed any longer! ♥️ thank you for sharing your story!

    Nancys Nook group on Facebook is the best. Not a support group but a group you go to find excision specialist/surgeons. Information on endometriosis, so so many articles and studies, doctors, nurses, etc many people advocating and providing resources. It has been the biggest eye opener for me.

    These doctors have to do better. I swear my period is the worst, not normal at all. Never been diagnosed at all,but this could be the problem. I have gotten MRI and etc,but still nothing. They be so dismissive when you go to them about your period. It's so sad. I'm 32 and shit i have no idea why or what is causing my period to be so worst. Systems I have, weakness , I throw up, back pain, pelvic pain,headaches, light headed, sweating cold flashes, feel like somebody stabbing me in my area, I barely can eat ,don't have no energy at all. Heavy bleeding, diarrhea, and when I do work or have an job, I always call out. I barely can walk or wash up to the bathroom. I losted some jobs cause they got tired of me calling out so much. Iam an chef, so. I used heating pads,hot bath. I Been searching, reading up or okay how to prepare myself when my period comes every month. Blood cloths , just tired.

    Thank you for posting this. As a 20 year old who has had periods since age 11 that consistently cause me to miss class and stay in bed and constant GI problems... I needed this. I feel constantly blown off by doctors and just thrown on all sorts of birth control that never help, but they never seem to believe me when I say that something else is seriously wrong, I am very in tune with my body and things are getting progressively worse and no one will help, and it helps to know others deal with this as well!

    You should do an updated version of a day in the life with endometriosis. Your videos have helped me a lot. I was diagnosed at 17 and im 21 now so it's been a struggle trying to figure out what a good treatment for me is. I've had already 5 surgeries. Right now they have me on the depo shot along with percocet because my pain is just unbearable. I remember I tried orilissa and it was the WORST. Excited to see you back!

    Was the surgery worth it? I mean besides the fact that you officially got diagnosed which is great! Besides that, did it help with pain? I kind of felt discouraged when you said you were still dealing with endo life. Idk what I expected but I sure thought it would help a lot...

  • @createthebalance
    @createthebalance 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Again, thank you for your update. I recently came across your channel and instantly subscribed. I think I can attest that a lot of us women experienced the pre-diagnostic era where endometriosis is considered taboo to many people. I have been called crazy since my teenage years and currently, I am 30 years old who was diagnosed two years ago. I am glad that your doctor never gave up on you and continued to guide you through this journey. After your laparoscopic surgery, did you notice a change in your endo symptoms positively or negatively? Are you currently on any medications to treat endo symptoms? How is pelvic floor therapy? Also, what made your doctor test you for the additional conditions? What were the protocols for that? How do you convince your doctor to even take that route? I’m sorry for the number of questions.

    • @Greer_and_Ian

      I am so glad you found me! I am pumped to be back to making videos! I just made a new video with a full update on my health. I answer about life after surgery and continuing pelvic floor therapy.
      I am not currently on any medications for my Endo specially. I do use CBD and THC for pain management through.
      I got my doctors to keep testing me because I kept going back with more symptoms. They could not keep me away lolz! I talk more about that in my new vid as well :).

    • @crisly20200
      @crisly20200 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ligia Ruiz yes and it hurts more when I ovulate and before my period . I ended up having a 2cm cyst , I went to a gynecologist and she didn’t say much I felt like she was whatever about it even though I told her I was still getting pain , all she said the fluid they found was because my cyst ruptured already and that’s it , all she said my cyst is small so if it hurts I can drink ibuprofen, like seriously that didn’t help at all , I will probably find another gynecologist.

    • @ligiaruiz6804
      @ligiaruiz6804 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@crisly20200 I was in the same boat a few years back. I ended up on birth control for a few months and then I stopped and got pregnant. It was intentional (we wanted a baby)and actually helped for a while but unfortunately its back and more painful than before. Push for the endometriosis and if you have to switch, do it. I was told the same thing, take ibuprofen, take tramadol. At one point i was given amitriptyline because I was told I had a nervous stomach. Don't give up ok? Fight for treatment because nobody knows how you feel but you.

    • @yessiev1007
      @yessiev1007 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Push for laparoscopic surgery hun. DONT let your doctors hush you. You have the legal right to tell your OB/GYN that you have requested them to attend to you to get a surgery or to take you seriously and they haven’t so you are able to document it and usually that will push the doctor to do the surgery or take you seriously so they won’t lose their job. I know it sounds a little harsh but honestly doctors need to stop doing that. No one knows your body like yourself.

    I've had irregular periods for a while now. I had my usual "pms"cramps before my period started and it eased up towards the end of my cycle. The day after my cycle ended I began having the same "pms" cramps. I'm now on day 6 after period ended. I had to leave work because I had a headache in the back of my head. I felt very weak like I was going to faint.
    Right now I have a headache at the top left of my crown of my head.
    I've been having leg cramps /upper thigh pains like I usually have right before period. I also have lower back pain that is consistent.
    Does anyone know if it could be endometriosis??

I got on birth control at 18 because of my periods. My body hates hormonal birth control , so i switched to a low hormonal birth control pill. It has helped but i still get very bloated, cramping all month, painful pains after sex sometimes, and heavy bleeding the first few days of my period. I am getting tested for it soon.

  • @Paramore433

    A couple months ago I got pain in my right ovary. After an ultrasound they said I had 3 cysts 1 the size of a tennis ball. A month later I was still experiencing pain on my right ovary it hurt to push and just sit. I’m constantly on a heating pad. (I’ve always had really severe periods btw) so they did a check up ultrasound. All cysts were gone but one on my left side was BARELY too big for normal. And because I was still experiencing pain on my right side (where nothing is showing up) my gyno sent me in for a mri with and without contrast last week. Yesterday I finally got the results saying I had a lesion inside of my left ovary suspicious of endometrioma (endometriosis) or a weird type of cyst I can’t remember the name. I know it’s endometriosis. The doctor says to start birth control and if it doesn’t feel better in 3 to 6 months I will probably need to have surgery to actually diagnose me. While it’s scary, I feel so much better watching this. I’ve had so many issues over the last I don’t even know how many years. I got diagnosed years ago with IBS and now I’m wondering if maybe it’s because I have endometriosis. I always had a suspicion that I had it but never wanted to self diagnose but hearing it come from a Gynocologist mouth is a totally different thing.

    Thank you for sharing your journey! I'm recently in my worst bit of endometriosis, I've been puking for 2 weeks, unable to move due to pain and very out of it all the time. I am either have profuse diarrhea or I am constipated. I waking up 2-3 times a night to use the bathroom to pee.
    My most recent gyno wanted me to go on Orlissa but after reading the side effects I decided it was not the best move for me. I'm trying to save up money so I can pay for the surgery myself. This has been an extremely difficult time but people like you help me through. Thank you
