When Dreamcatcher first debuted 5 of the members already had 5+ years training while the other two had only been trainees for 6 months. So, their company leaned way more on the experienced members, giving the newer members a chance to grow as performers. Five years later and I can't complain with the results! I'm truly a spoiled fan! ^^

Honestly Itzy's "worst" line distribution isn't really that bad considering it is a vocal focused song
Also their title songs are always very balanced. B-sides or other songs can be unbalanced sometimes, especially cause they often have a very specific style.

that’s why i love itzy, they’re very fair. if a member doesn’t get as much lines in one song they get more in another. each take turns but most of the time they get about a good duration time each in a song

For Loona, I think the worst is probably Favorite or Stylish. Chuu had 40+ seconds while Hyunjin only has 1 second (which is shared with Chuu) in Stylish.

fair doesn't mean equal... equal means they all get the approximate number of lines. fair means that all the members have lines that make them stand out in the song, Besides, no one has a lot of lines and others have too few.

For aespa black mamba it makes sense why the main and lead vocalist will get the most lines since it's a vocal song

I like the line evolution in Dreamcatcher.
Handong and Gahyeon used to be the last ones, which drastically changed the past few comebacks. But tbh even before, Handong gets the best lines despite having little of it (DejaVu was ICONIC)
Maison might be the one that I thought is the fairest (although it's actually BEcause). Maison era was everything, Gahyeon getting way more lines and Handong slaying hers. Although my bias SuA was last in this era, I'm not even complaining since she got the best shots hands down😌
But if you will look at their overall line distribution then you will notice that Handong is always in the bottom 3 whereas gahyeon and Dami got the chance to be top 3. Handong also has the least center time, most edge and least screentime.
That's true, but I think it's starting to change recently. Back then, I wouldn't even dream for Handong to get a line in the chorus but Odd Eye exists sooo

Everytime I read " unfair line distribution " I immediately think of Everglow and Loona :c such a big contrast to Itzy and Aespa, their worst distributions aren't actually bad
About Dreamcatcher I thought their worst line distribution was Sleep walking, I'm not really sure though

KPop groups REALLY need to step up their game. Like, I understand it might be hard to let 6+ people get enough time (clc, twice, loona, dreamcatcher, etc.) but for groups with 5 or less… Either way they need to do better.

As for red velvet:
Butterflies is their fairest line distribution, and that Russian Roulette distribution video is innacurrate since it doesn't have pauses when they dont sing,,, So the difference between Joy and Irene is about 5 seconds? While on Butterflies its less than 3

Black Mamba is actually very fair relative to each member's position in terms of singing. It's already passable as a distribution that focuses on equality, but when judging it based on equity, it makes a lot of sense. There's an almost equal gap between all of the members that's around only double the size from shortest to longest, and Giselle's minimum of 15 seconds is still a lot. Giselle's lines are also the rap verses, which add contrast and stand out in vocal-heavy songs solely for being different from the rest of the song. And throughout the song, all members are always consistently singing after one another. It's a fair distribution that does not focus on the total number of seconds, but rather the sound and performance overall.
I actually hope SM does give them a fair distribution

I think the most in the kep1er line distribution is MVSK
there is more line difference in MVSK than in wa da da, literally wa da da is the best distributed in the entire FIRST IMPACT album, for you it seems that if bahiyyih is last in the distribution it is unfair but if there is another member it is fair , a lot of fanaticism and it shows.
for automatic i think it’s because it was more of a vocal song also for the video in general main vocals are usually supposed to get the most lines

I think the line distributions mostly depend on what type of song they are going to perform. As in a rap song the rappers would get more lines than the vocalists.

Why does everyone is pointing out negativeness of Everglow but not positiveness. Every group has negativess and of everglow, they have too. But ever since debut, only this point has been topic, but it's because of there company. And it's somewhere they also had there reasons which probably hase'nt been reveal. What if they group is still not ready, it's not like everyone is declared on camera. And yueha has other groups too, and they don't treat this way to them. I am true forever and far as I know, some of the members does not have stable voice. So it's not good to point one bad think about company and group and sleeping on their talent. They have REASONS!!!
