Some videos back then had so much visual effects and cuts that you could barely see the frags
1.6 wasnt just a game, it was art! Perfect in all aspects. To look at maps like dust2, inferno, train, nuke..... and know, i was running around there 14 years ago its some nice memories. It really was something special : )

Remember this old gold days of cs 1.5 and 1.6. Neo was freakin monster, his ingame movement and thinking together with aim was beyond imagination.
What's so bad about skins. Noone is forced to buy them, so where is the problem ??

one of my top5 players of 1.6 - recently picked up 1.6 again, and i feel like i am superior to what i've ever been skillwise. I hear esea 1.6 is quite dead? any other leagues that are there to play? im looking for a challenge! feel free to contact me! edit: oh and that scene 5:55 vs nip (heaton and robban) is probably the best cs scene ever ;-) pity it doesnt show more of it.

I remember in 2012 they did an update who has fucked 1.6, but this game was so better than csgo i like csgo, but to set the game perfectly its difficult, cs 1.6 was perfect, internet low ping period, 100fps constant for all players, 32bit smoke, m_rawinput 0 working perfectly and here we go!
it used to be drum n bass and really amazing aiming and movement, nowadays its dubstep, cod, hitmarkers und aim down sight mechanics. what happened?

Neo an F0rest raped 1.6, hard to determine who was best. but f0rest have managed to change his skill to cs:go, not %100 but 80 atlest. neo dont, good player but like 50% of his best.

1.6 is lightyears ahead of GO. You just don't get this kind of games with that crappy movement and the most random "balance" that they could've come up with.
Enjoy being forced to a huge variety of five weapons because the rest is underpowered as fuck.

That's because you haven't understood and mastered the skills of 1.6. Those things aren't possible with CSGO at all.

1. If you have skill, you'll just headshot ppl and you don't have to care about the spray pattern (I personnaly am more used to the GO-version so it's not a problem for me anymore)
2. Wallbanging as NOTHING to do with skill since you simply do the exact thing every round and just hope, you'll hit somebody
3. From a gameplay perspecitve, you're right, but VOLVO made go (a little bit) more realistic and therefore the footsteps not so clear! But I'll give you that ;D
4. Wrong! If you are a better player than someone else, you do have a better chance of killing your enemy. Otherwise you woudn't be better ! It's just an other game and in the one you can't spray with pistols, in the other one you can.

Ayush Sharma But this does not make 1.6 a better game! It makes it a different game. I'm more used to the GO-version but I also checked out 1.6 and personally, I don't see why 1.6 is considered by many generally a better game. That's basicly what I was asking for. Why ppl think so ..
