The new electrical set up looks amazing! Lee did a smashing job. Hopefully it serves you well for many years to come and you can keep that laptop charged Ula.
I understand the feeling you have. I’m from the U.S. I am 97% English, Scottish, Irish, Welsh & Northern European. I have always felt drawn to those areas. I always will think it is in my DNA. Lol. Have a great time on your travels.
Thinking of you two so much this morning over here inNew Hampshire USA…hoping all is well and that you are still smiling! You are in my heart thoughts today.05/06/2023
My name is Jeff Wrench. I live in the United States. My dad was in the air force and stationed in England during WW2. I was born at Buttonwood air force base in 1957 and came home to the US when I was 9 months old. My dad met my mom during the war and was married in England during the war so my mom was an English war bride. I have a lot of relatives in England that I get to see periodically which is awesome. When I watch your vlog I feel a connection to it. Keep it up I watch every week
I think this week we just have to pay tribute to St Lee...what a great worker and what a difference he made....brilliant video and best wishes to you both
If you are interested in the olde ways of Britain, may I suggest you read "The Way of Wyrd", a wonderful book / novel by Brian Bates. It covers many topics, but the energies of the Ley Lines and the old Tors are amongst the areas he touches on. I admit, having lived in Australia now for well over 30 years, I miss my mother country and her henges, tors, burial sites and historical monuments...I'll come back to the UK again one day! Loving your vlog and the challenges and rewards you face each week as a couple! Inspiring, though we don't have that lifestyle here :(
I’ve bee. Coming back everyday to check to see if you guys have uploaded .. Sunday went past ..So basically just want to check you guys are okay .. just a little check up .. ❤

Wow, that hail storm was crazy! I live in the south eastern state of Alabama so this time of year the weather can be crazy for us as well. A couple of weeks ago a tornado missed our home by about a mile but took out several homes and businesses around us :/ I bet its so loud for yall to sit through a storm in your boat! Thank you for sharing a peek into your lives! Ula, the footage of your walk was both mesmerizing & so calming. And it was nice to hear you talk about turning off the camera to soak it all in properly! I just love you both. You guys never fail to put a smile on my face & my overall mood always perks up for the rest of the day 🤘❤️🤘
I can not even imagine what it is like to experience being near a tornado!! It must be so scary!! So pleased you enjoyed the visit to west Kennet long barrow xx
Heya Nick! Brilliant, so cool to have you along for the adventure too. Thanks for joining us, this weekends vlog will be me living in the woods. But we'll be back to the boating after. See you again soon. Lots of love Ula and Josh xx
Wow,Lee is a gem. I really admire people who understand stuff like that….im a total loser when its anything technical. Glad your getting sorted and loved the sacred place you visited Ula. I am defo going there. See you next week xx
i have a degenerative disease that has robbed me of my mobility, so i will never be able to visit these beautiful sights, so a big thank you for taking me with you 🥰🥰
I’ve watched since episode 1 and I’m really enjoying your journey. Every video gets better! Keep up the great work and enjoy the ride - we definitely are.

I love hearing the sounds of rain coming from our metal roof, it’s one of my favorite things so I know I’d enjoy it from inside a boat too! Maybe not the thunder/lightning storms so much in a boat though lol! I had never heard of the magical areas you visited in this video, me being from the US but I googled about it and thank you so much for sharing that with us. ✨ It’s great seeing all the upgrades y’all are making…hopefully it’ll make every day living easier. Lee seems so knowledgeable and hooked you guys up good 😊
Always look forward to your vlogs. It must feel so good to get those jobs done. Big well done to Lee👏👏also your hard work getting everything there ready to use 👏👏xx oh the hailstorm you had it so much worse than us in Herts wasn’t it amazing? The noise on our windows was really noisy so on your boat must have been so loud😮
I’m with you completely Ula in regard to the atmosphere of these wonderful ancient monuments, dwellings etc that we have in this country…..I was born and raised in Cornwall and there are plenty of these places…I love to imagine all that went on and the people who were there all those years ago…so special. Great to see your electrical updates and looking forward to seeing how it all works out for you. Best wishes Julie 😊
Thanks so much for the well wishes Julie. I absolutely love visiting these sacred sites, I feel so privileged to live in a country that has so many to visit! How lucky are we! xx
Brilliant progress guys. So pleased for you that you now have all that power! Absolutely love your vlogs - watching your journey and adventures is such a treat. Thank you so much for sharing. 😊
Best video to date LOVE LOVE LOVE your adventure to the ancient site! How awesome you have amazing places in history to visit like that...in your backyard 😉Also congrats on all the upgrades to your home!❤
@@UlaandJosh and you can recognize a tourist here because they carry a Brolly 😂 most of us that are used to the changing weather just have something with a hood and wellies 😜. Mind you it is so beautifully green here, lots of trees, waterfalls so can’t complain.
Just recognised where you are! I can remember the name but we did a metal detecting dig on the field next to where you parked your van! It was early Feb and i remember that red Mercedes campervan 🤣🤣 xx
This one is so interesting to me. I married and Australian and in 2000 we moved down to Sydney, 10 years later our eldest son wanted to come back to England, he missed the history (before we left the UK we used to take them to art galleries, castles, battle re-enactements etc.) so he did at the age of 21, then our next son down wanted to move back for the same reasons, by then also 21, when our 3rd son said he wanted to come back to the UK it tipped the balance and we all moved back (the older ones kept asking us to, bless them). I LOVED Australia, but none of us being beach people (except my husband, good old Aussie bloke, haha) we came back to the uk in 2013. I didn't realise how much I missed England until I moved back, we bought a black and white cottage built in 1550, so we all got our bit of history!!! Boys now live in London, we live in Shropshire, so nice to be in the same country. Australia is a long way away.
I was surprised to hear that you had a household power fridge. I thought all narrowboats had 12 volt fridges. And, it makes sense that you would have to run thicker wires to it as it is lower voltage, yet higher amperage.
I feel you respecting the purist form Ula when it comes to the sites you visit, as it should be 🙏🏻 , as for those hail stones 😳 you guys really are getting the weather extremes out of the way in the short time you have been in your new home 🥹🤛🏻🔥🇬🇧 xxxx p.s great job with the electric up grade ❤

After visiting Wiltshire many times to see relatives , I am going to be visiting the sites you have visited they are so interesting. The electrical upgrade is marvellous for you both. Thank you lovely people for another fab vlog.
Lee seems to be "Mr. Get-it-Done"!! Glad to see he knows what gets doing!! Question for you two...when you show your tea bags they do not gave that string and paper tag hanging from them!! Can you share the brand if tea bags that you use and can they be ordered on-line. Also, do you drink English Breakfast or any special type as you always make it look so delicious!! Thank you for another great vlog!!
Fab vlog, love the DIY ones! One thing, did Lee say why he fitted the previous generation Charger/Invertor? would be interested in his views.... Bet you love the Victron apps!! Probably done but not in vlog, dont forget to secure the batteries down to keep your BSS man happy! :)
Great Vlog Guys. Over the years Sunday Nights have consisted of various Netflix entertainment and other channels..... from Game of Thrones too Ozark... Breaking Bad you get the drift... I am now getting my weekend fix following two great people living on a canal barge :) . Thank you.

Oh thanks Debbie!!! I usually take a thermos on these types of walks with me, but this site was a rather impromptu event and so I had to go with what we had in the van :) but it did mean that my tea cooled down rather quickly!!! thanks for being with us as always xxx
Hi Ula and Josh. We love your videos and are enjoying your story. It’s been a while since you’ve posted as far as we can tell. Is everything ok? We hope you are off on an adventure and we’ll soon hear about it. Cheers Robin and Dikki
Ula you did feel it and yes energy is a better word than buzz or tingle but it’s a physical feeling isn’t it. Aren’t those areas amazing. Oh wow what a storm, I love big storms like the tropical storms we get here, we get a lot of hail in SE Queensland, I was surprised as I hadn’t really seen much since I was a kid. Expensive batteries but good idea. Josh hope you’re OK though you seem to have come up well. Another great video guys, thanks heaps. Take care. 💕
Awww love that you are so interested in th historical places good that you getting the batteries sorted you are both so lovely good luck tc the oldies👍🤗👋😉
You guys are great! Interested in why you went the inverter route when laptops are DC anyway. We're looking to get our first narrowboat and my idea was to flood (no pun intended!) it with USB and DC (12V or 24V) outlets and run everything off that. Lee's work looks amazing though!
@@UlaandJosh Having that extra capacity makes a whole lot of sense. Since my post and your reply, I've had an MRI scan which confirmed a non-acute stroke, so my plans are on hold for now, if not indefinitely. Just keep on doing what you do and enjoy the lifestyle choice you have made for yourselves.
@@UlaandJosh No I've never been, I'm living in Australia but planning a visit back to the UK next year, I just added Kennet Long Barrow to my itinerary :)
Wow what a hail storm and Lee certainly did a fantastic job on your solar batteries. Look forward to the next video. How do you manage to get your van to the places you park your narrowboat? Have a lovely day.
A qualified electrician is the best choice, electrics are scary! Did you ever do vanlife? I keep watching videos and wondering if I would like it. Love your new van, so cool. Stay safe and warm.

Cheers
Robin and Dikki
Thanks so much Ann!!! Hope you managed to catch this evenings video :) x
You guys are great! Interested in why you went the inverter route when laptops are DC anyway. We're looking to get our first narrowboat and my idea was to flood (no pun intended!) it with USB and DC (12V or 24V) outlets and run everything off that. Lee's work looks amazing though!
To be fair we rarely use the three pin plugs these days, but it is great having soooooooo much electricity especially in the winter!!
That coffee looked more like gravy lol
Hahahahaha 🤣🤣🤣
Great to see you guys having a productive week. Ula, what an amazing experience at West Kennet, if only those stones could talk, take care guys.
Thanks Paul :) what a lovely site west Kennet long barrow is!! Have you been? Very magical
@@UlaandJosh No I've never been, I'm living in Australia but planning a visit back to the UK next year, I just added Kennet Long Barrow to my itinerary :)
Congratulations on the upgrade and you definitely make a strong looking ☕ 😍
We like a strong brew on this boat :) xx
Hope you're both alright❤
Thank you lovely xx
Wow what a hail storm and Lee certainly did a fantastic job on your solar batteries. Look forward to the next video. How do you manage to get your van to the places you park your narrowboat? Have a lovely day.
Looking forward to the Q&A…Great vlog as always. ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks Christine xx
A qualified electrician is the best choice, electrics are scary! Did you ever do vanlife? I keep watching videos and wondering if I would like it. Love your new van, so cool. Stay safe and warm.
