    While this isn't necessarily for me, I really appreciate a lot of what's going on in this one. From the pledge levels bringing in a bit of what we find more often with RPGs to the presentation of historically significant games with a premium twist, it's a great project that I have to imagine would be really great for people who are used to more "traditional" board games or don't play games that often.

      Thanks for sharing your thoughts and leaving some kind words! If the Lemery team doesn’t see this comment I’ll be sure to point it out to them!

      @NickKinsman3D that's so nice to hear, thank you! :) Indeed, our goal is to spread the word about these amazing ancient games, and by offering an accessible price point we hope to reach some people who are new to the board gaming industry or are not very heavy gamers. Hope they'll love this collection!

      This looks to be the beginning of a series for Lemery. I’m very curious what the next batch will look and play like!

    it seems like you haven't partied Jarmo correctly- there was no flipping of the archers into guards

    • @lemerygames
      @lemerygames 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Nice catch! That's correct, maybe that's why it's only 3rd on the list haha :D

      We did play correctly most of the time - but correcting kids gameplay while filming clearly didn’t pan out!
      One question, though - does an archer have to be flipped to its guard side in order to bring back a previously removed piece?

    • @lemerygames
      @lemerygames 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@LittleBigThumbs Totally get that! :) You need to flip the archer to its guard side immediately after an archer captures a piece (outside the enemy camp!). Then, once the guard enters the enemy camp is when you can bring back a piece.

      @@lemerygames So an archer CAN’T enter the enemy zone?! D’oh! I’ll make a correct when I post that one as a vertical video.

    • @lemerygames
      @lemerygames 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@LittleBigThumbs Oh, that's not what I meant. Both archers and guards can enter the enemy camp. That's the goal of the game! It's just that if an archer captures an enemy piece right in the camp when it enters, it doesn't allow the player to flip the piece to guard and redeploy a piece. The piece has to be a guard before entering the enemy camp in order to redeploy a piece. That's what I meant by 'after an archer captures a piece (outside the enemy camp!)'.
