Not a big fan of Elena at first, but then I understood she was the one pure feeling Damon needed to let himself feel pain and accept he was capable to love... she showed him there's no shame on feeling vulnerable. That's why I grew to love Delena. Also... Elena learnt to follow her heart, her true desires, whilst falling in love with Damon. He always questions and defies her and, in the end, she stops caring about what other people could think and that sets her free... ❤ Even Stefan says Elena allowed him to recover the brother he thought he'd lost a long time ago. damon did some horrible things and we know people will never forgive him for that, no matter how many good things he did, mostly he wouldn't show off, he's a hero in villain's clothing, stefan murdered an entire village of innocents but still people forgive him, they don't even think about it like things happen only in mystic falls will be considered as good or bad, what happened in the past doesn't bother, no one deserves damon except rose, she truly understood him and bonnie too❤️
