    Great video dude. I tried this with an older Brock Lesnar basic to use his arms on a newer Kane, and completely destroyed the former. Even after soaking, the torso kept breaking before the glue would let go, and I went at it from basically everywhere. The Kane luckily opened up pretty quickly which was the one I wanted to save so I'm ok with that.
    Older stuff was definitely attached more permenantly.

      I destroyed a few Stone Colds early on. The newer figs must use cheaper glue or something 😅

      @@bad_guy_photography I can applaud that cost cutting for sure.

    Have you ever encountered a situation where the glue is too strong that it can't break apart the torso no matter how hard you tried? Thanks for this but no matter what i did the two halves refused to come apart until i saw stress marks

      I have with older elite figures. I think they used a stronger glue or lots more of it. I try heating them longer and really take my time with the prying. Pry a little, back in the water, pry some more, and repeat as many times as necessary.

      @@bad_guy_photography Thank you. I will try that.

    Great video. This is the best way of cracking without leaving marks on my figure. Can i ask if you have a video on how to remove legs if it's not ball joints but pine cone joints? Most of the time in trying to swap legs. Thanks

      Great suggestion! I came across the pine cone joints recently with a best of Ultimate Edition figure. Didn't know what they were 😆

      @@bad_guy_photography Aren't they the majority of older/reissued figures? Seems like everyone I bought recently to customize are pine joints. Or maybe because I only collect Legends and they are reissuing them with old torsos and updated sculpts

      I think you are right, I haven't done many customs from old figures but starting to see it with the reissues.

    Thanks man! Do you think I can complete the job just with an X-acto knife or do you think ill need to switch to a pocket knife?

    • @bad_guy_photography
      @bad_guy_photography  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I always switch to a pocket knife to pry at the end. Don't want to snap the x-acto blade and cut myself.

    Wood carving knives work on the bottom better

      @@bad_guy_photography You're welcome but I can't take all the Credit that mostly goes to Maniafigs up here on TH-cam he has great videos that I've been taking notes.. I just need to figure out how is the best way to crack a basic figure and not make it look like a monster mangled it lol

    You know of tightening the arm? I havent cracked a torso before but i think i may so i can try to tighten the shoulder and put a shorter neck peg

    • @bad_guy_photography
      @bad_guy_photography  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I've never tried to tighten an arm but I've swapped lots of neck pegs after cracking a torso. Some that were broken and a few that were the wrong size for a custom. Just make sure you fit everything properly before adding any glue!

    So, I tried this method, and for whatever reason, I can’t get the bottom half to crack open easily

    • @bad_guy_photography
      @bad_guy_photography  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Maybe crack the top half and then drop them back in the hot water for a minute. Might just be really good glue. The older figures seem to use a different glue or just more of it.
