I dont understand how these things make it a bad deal. You say you bought everything seperate to put in it anyways when you got the rtr so a plus for the roller, you complain that the parts are hard to install, it's all pre installed as it's a roller. Not a kit like you keep calling it. So idk what the deal is here.
The aluminum Bell crank an absolute must because the plastic ones are designed so poorly they crack in half. And this guy just sounds like he's too lazy to work on his own cars
I wish I would have known about the bumper! I might still have my Losi B !? Mine was from Tower Hobbies and after a minor mishap in the drive way and after trying to fix it and cost of parts to fix from local hobby shop? No way! it's a $150 throw away! Yes they are fun but not at the price you pay!
11:10 their servo does not fit their horn ... bought a pro roller, the box suggests a Spektrum SX-108, bought a SX-108 ... learned that the horizon hobbies mini 20 tooth servo horn does not fit the Horizon hobbies 20 tooth mini servo the mini-B was supposed to be a "budget class". It has ballooned into an insane run-away because the pieces in the box were not capable of just merely going around the track slowly without falling apart. The club impression on the mini-b is 50/50 between "meh,its okay" and "I want to burn this useless waste of money" now half the club has jumped at the nascar. They plan to run it as a box stock class, yet members are already pointing out problems ... and we have yet to run a single race
Yeah agree on all that. I’ve done a lot of videos on the nascar too and have found a lot of issues with my car. Some cars run good. Some ok. Some terrible. Mine was terrible and has taken a lot of sanding and reaming and refitting. It seems to be ok now but need some lap times.
The brushed is fine def but the brushless makes it a ripper. To your point it wasn't easy to work on it took me a while to get servo horn onto that ball cup.

The aluminum servo horn fits the eco power 827 servo and works just fine. Maybe learn to drive better also? Sounds like you don't know how to set up a car. If you are popping wheelies how about adjusting your slipper?

Micro heli makes a tail heli servo that the horn fits ,,all I had to do was put a bigger servo plug on the servo ,steel mesh gears there pretty good for a 20$ servo
I will work on my mini b any day over the jrx2 mini,,God if the devil could build a car it will be the jrx2 mini..very hard to rebuild a transmission in
Look at Traxxas, you want a new servo horn, tough you gotta buy the whole kit. Hey want to paint that shell? Guess what we'll give you all the window decals except the front. That gonna cost you another $7 for a decal pack just for the front window. It's like are you kidding me right now? Don't get me started on their stupid battery connectors.

My servo horn I got with my kit doesn’t even fit the spektrum servo I contacted horizon hobby and they still have not responded such a scam I found that the old servo horns do fit but the new ones don’t I have talked to other TH-camrs as well and they are having the same problems
Damn that sucks. Best thing I found was the 1up servo horn and a savox servo. It’s a think horn and takes up all the slack so you don’t even need to move the servo forward. It’s like $5
I'd expect this kind of thing from an Amazon special, but really disappointed after the fact. Really wish I had seen this video before getting a Mini. Yeah, they are fun when they are working.. but for half or 2/3 the price, I could have had a bigger, better quality RC that COMES with a bumper and spare parts. Just didn't want to wait for the shipping. I wanted to support my local hobby shop (found a better one) and get a "quality" RC from a reputable brand, but walked out with the distinct feeling that I got ripped off. A month later and my car is in pieces waiting for a new motor. I'm not even going to bother with warranty either. Their customer service sucks. I'll keep running the mini T until I find a suitable replacement, then it's getting retired or sold for parts.
@@Dorkyand40 Yeah it's mixed feelings on my end. I have a bumper and a different body shell on the way so maybe that will help keep interest and not have it break so easily. I'm gonna convert it to a 1/18 short course truck using the Wltoys body.
@@Dorkyand40 I bought mine on special for 111 and spent the extra money and got the brushless motor with ESC inside. Is it worth the trouble of installing the upgrades?
@@Dorkyand40 I hear you there. I tend to screw with 1/16 cars and 1/24 in the winter here in Alaska. Summer it’s 1/8 and larger which is a nice relief just because I can find screws when I drop them again…. Didn’t intent to come across mean or anything.

@@Dorkyand40 I have to disagree with you. The quality of losi and other manufacturers plummeted when joined with horizon. Also no more kits, Horizon is all about rtr and discontinuing modles. I used to love losi. But since the merge I'll pay more to stay away for HH.

They just had a flash sale on these and were selling them for $80. I was lucky enough to grab one and can't wait to try it.

Had the same issue but spent $250 on one. Fun but very fragile.
