I was hoping you’d continue the stream. I know you don’t want help, but I wanted to suggest that you take a moment off screen to explore all the buttons and tabs. Just click everything that has a word or an image to see what it does. Also the area where you changed the volume of the music has another tab that shows all the keystrokes for different things. It will help you learn how to navigate and do stuff like crouch, jump and all that. Look at your party character sheets for their abilities, inventory and approval. You can dip into other character inventory during a fight to access spells and potions. You can also switch and play as other characters in your party which is useful to do certain things. Like Wyll has high charisma so he will be better at convincing strangers than your main might be for example. Lastly long rest often, and talk to everyone. It’s especially important in the early part of the game to help gain a rapport and approval with the other characters. You’re way overdue for one, they’re also needed to recover spell slots and to heal the entire party. Talking to characters advances their story too, and they often have fun things to say in new locations or after an event. The exclamation over their head means it’s urgent but they often will have new things to say in general. Btw you don’t need to find the camp in world, long rests take you there automatically. I just want you to have the best time. Good luck!
Monk gets so heckling strong at higher levels. The Way of the Open Hand makes you a power house and if you multi class into a Rogue to get an extra bonus action you can deal sooooo much damage in a single turn. I’m a monk in my Dark Urge play through and I’m LOVING it.
mods going crazy at the start removing advice when they are just trying to let him know the damn controls, geez bg3 is definitely quite the game to start especially if you aren't used to turn based games - so if the chat is gunna help with basic controls and gameplay advice feels weird to just delete it all?!
BG3 had a huge learning curve for me, and I have had D&D experience. I can only admire your patience starting from scratch. Nothing worth doing is ever easy. Huge respect for you, and thank you for all your work in BG3.
Wyll's quests are some of my favorite in the game (Iron Throne and Ansur). I am currently romancing him and I'm loving the extra dialogue. I am learning so much more about him. Wish he had more content because he's such amazing character. Love your work in the game and these streams are so fun.
When I first picked up the game, Wyll was the one who captivated me off the rip more than any others. The voice alone takes my breath away. And then you add on that the first impression is him helping kids. 😭
I'd love to see several cast members play the game together. That'd be great! Either that or another episode of live DnD. Of all the cast members streams I've watched so far, Theo's are the most entertaining. Since I also have no experience with DnD at all, it is interesting to explore this game with him. ❤

Monk is the most powerful class in the game. I soloed tactician mode with an open-hand monk 9/thief 3. However, the best combo for a Tav is Rogue assassin 3/Ranger gloomstalker 3/Bard of swords 6. This gives you expertise in all conversational skills, assassination and thievery, plus combat flourishes that will deal more than 200 damage a turn. The monk can do more damage, but can't talk their way out of a paper bag...
