Hey Craig! Thanks so much for jumping on this.. and that’s a good looking beer you got there! Man.. what a year ‘83 was and I’m happy to say I have most of these, especially the heavier stuff. You make a great point about how metal health opened up so much for those heavy LA bands who would eventually take over the decade. A pivotal year for sure. Great selections all around. You’re entered!
Thanks this was a hard one for me to pick a year, but I really think it 83 was a great year. It was a fun episode to do thanks for the idea and congratulations on a year in the VC.
“I have to be careful. If I have too many of these, I won’t finish this video”…😂 Perfect start with Eurythmics, then Rebel Yell. Outstanding! I always loved the music video for Lick It Up. I like that cover art on that Rock Goddess, but don’t know the music. I remember that Krokus video. Straight up classic with Eliminator. I have Let’s Dance too. Ricochet is an overlooked song on that album, though one of the best on the record. Kill ‘Em All! Awesome! You Can’t Stop Rock n Roll is my favorite Twisted Sister song. I prefer it to their later super popular hits. I have a copy of Ratt’s Out Of The Cellar. Quiet Riot trivia: The late Kevin Dubrow’s brother is a famous plastic surgeon in Los Angeles. He is on a reality TV show called Botched. It’s actually pretty entertaining. 1983 was a great year for me discovering music just like you too Craig. I think we’re about the same age. I’m trying to pick a year for Alex’s contest, but it’s harder for me, as I’m limited to what I now call “ The Apartment Collection”…great video my friend. Have a Happy Thanksgiving! ✌️
I felt the same way trying to pick a year then I had so much to show I actually thought about cutting it down then I couldn't decide what to cut 😆 I really don't know how you're surviving with all your stuff in storage, I would lose my mind.
I was 18 at 1983 and this year was definitively a great year for music in general and for hard-rock and metal particularly.Flick of the switch, another perfect day, balls to the wall...did you check the first Rock Goddess album? It's way better than the second one (it was released in 1983 also)
Flick of the switch is one of my faves, should have put it in the episode. I haven't heard the 1st Rock Goddess album but I will take your advice and look for it.

It's a cool place, it's only like 20 minutes from where I live. Kind of creepy but a fun little day trip.
