If you look at the background, the customers are also foreigners. They have food pictures and English menu while local street food that no foreigner come will not have pictures (because the local already know the dishes) and menu is in Thai language( no English). Anyway this place is far better than the famous touristy place that you have to queue up for hours.

In a previous video, if I recall correctly, the owner of ThangMo shop suggested another restaurant, but it was declined because it had already been showcased on a Korean show. They specifically asked for a restaurant or stall that isn't very well-known to foreigners but is beloved by locals. I was praising them for maintaining the authenticity of the concept in the show.

I have just had lunch and dinner at this place. And to be honest, they food are delicious and surprisingly cheap. Really recommend to eat there. They open til late night.

I'm impressed that you guys didn't choose to go to Thipsamai Pad Thai or the Mechelin star restaurant next to this one. Those "internationally famous" are not at all for locals. (They used to be but no more, since they focus too much on selling to tourists). These "unknown" smaller places you went are definitely hidden gems. The one you went for Pad Thai, Pad Pak Bung, doesn't even have a name on Google Maps. Well done. (I grew up around this neighborhood).
As a Thai, when I saw that they put green bean in stir fry pork with basil my heart is broken 😂😂. But all the food look so good. Local restaurants is the best.
I love that the morning glory dish got recognised 😂 it's comfort food for family food my grandpa often made it although i don't like it when i was a kid cuz it's got only veggie😂
Squeeze lime into Pad Thai, put bean sprout in, and sprinkle dried red chili a little bit or more to enhance spiciness favor. Eat Pad Thai with fork and spoon and occasionally pick green veggie and chew it. When Pad Thai was promoted by Prime Minister Field Marshall Pibulsongkram during WWII as a national dish, it was supposed to be cheap but delicious. Nowadays the price can be dirt cheap about US$1 on the street up to $10 in 5-star hotel. You can buy one at the price of $1-1.5 (35-50 baht) freshly cooked on local market but with no prawn as prawn is expensive. Pad Thai with 2 prawns can be had on the street at the price around 60-100 baht ($2-$3).
opposite this restaurant also have cafe called Ku roti (กูโรตี) they have very nice thai-tea southern style. once you tried you cant stop thinking about it. this cafe also have very roti that you must try.
When Thai eat we eat everything together so you can have a little bit of food on your table and move to one thing come back to the same dish but everything has to be eaten with steamed rice
