The reason the knob on the shock is so small is so you can access the other compression adjustment with a wrench or socket. The screw on the bottom of the reservoir is serving the shock.
Ahhh that makes sense. I was definitely being an idiot when it came to the screw on the bottom of the reservoir. Don't know that I was thinking there lol.
Is the clear windshield removable do you know? I prefer the look of just the small red one but wasnt sure if you just remove the clear one and leave the red one or if you would have to buy say the one off the boondocker. Btw can’t wait to see your thoughts on this sled next year, uncoupled 137 has been my wish for a long time! FR 137 uncoupled was what I wanted for years. I’d throw that hurricane 1.75 on it as soon as it came out of the crate, that thing would be on kill mode with that track
Is the suspension set for more transfer on the test ride? I like to trail ride with the front end planted. I feel much better control and safety with the front end on the ground.
Does this Lynx have quick drive instead of a chain case?? The biggest Takeaway I had from the Polaris model year 2022 launch is that all of the mountain sleds now feature either quick drive or a quick drive 2.0 for that instant lift and inertia. Meaning all of the mountain sleds in the matrix platform no longer have a chain case. Now we wait and see, if that technology get passed on to the trail sleds for 23’ or not. Even the new khaos 146 is belt drive instead of chain case and that replaced the SKS. Now what is REALLY huge and I almost overlooked it, but Chris Buradt’s Facebook video taught me more than Polaris own videos is that all RMK’S that have the Patriot Turbo have a new clutch instead of the regular P-85. And there is a little bearing in the P-22/TEAM LWT clutch that eliminates the belt deflection nut that often breaks so the clutch automatically adjusts belt deflection and you always have perfect belt deflection. I would imagine that was much needed since the turbo 850 will need perfect belt deflection at all times. But that needs to get on trail sleds ASAP too. But right now it’s not even on all Mountain sleds just the ones with the turbo.
@@johanneskoskela384 I just picked up a 22 X-RS that someone backed out of and can't wait to ride it. So far no riding in the NE. Most of the guys I see buying them these days are older riders because young aggressive ones can't afford a $18K snowmobile. I'm hoping to get a chance to swing a leg over a Rave this season and possibly snowcheck one for next year.
I own a XTrim RE which was available -18 to -20, it has a 59mm (2.3") track, a little bit lower gearing and narrower ski stance 39-40", narrower summit-style seat. Otherwise it is the same as the RAVE. Very fun sled. You should find a trail with some BIG moguls on it, drive fast and just hold on.. :-) Fun to see everyone so exited about the Lynx, it is a nice machine and I love it!
Honestly, I'm wrestling with interest in the Rave RE, or the Polaris XCR 850. I prefer the Polaris Matryx ride style over the Doo Gen4 but that Rave with the uncoupled set up for our region would be perfect.
That’s cool you got to ride it. Very impressive machine but it’ll be interesting to see Polaris new lineup tomorrow and hopefully they will come out with a XCR in the matrix which would be the sleds competition.
I'm excited to see the XCR for sure! Curious if there will be any changes to it this season besides the move to the matryx platform. Won't be long until we find out now!
Hope there is a way to minimize the transfer, otherwise there will be lots of guys pickin pine out of their grill. (many years riding Assaults - so I have some experience with transfer ;) - great vid bro. Cheers
@@Revrider550 hope so! I would have said BC-XRS, but that thing is a new level of sick. Those 46-mm KYB’s are some serious hardware, seems new too. I was checking the Doo site and they are coming soon and being called ‘performance shocks’
Kinda looks like and in between of the Gen 3 and Gen 4 from the front. Maybe just maybe an assault snuck into the ski doo plant and banged and xrs 🤔 cause that skid and starter sound kinda Polaris like 🤔 🤷🏻♂️🤣🤣🤣🤣
Love your videos , but you need more cat in your life!!!!! Great content and all but I'd tear your 850 up w my old 13'cat just saying! lol , keep up the great content hope to run into you out there
Awesome job Bud! Great review! First TH-camr channel to get her done!
Thank buddy!! Stoked I got to try it out. I was worried I wouldn't get to demo anything this year so this worked out great!!
Nice review. Glad to hear it is not overly stiff.
The high and low speed compression is a top knob and the nut behind knob, you don't want to unscrew on the bottom of the reservoir

coolest ride ever made.
How cool is this opportunity- hell yeah man!!
Thanks man! I was so stoked to ride it! Most excited I've been to try a sled in a long time.
The dealer here on Prince Edward Island has one in as well, I think pretty much all dealers in Canada have at least one in
Wow that's insane !!! So is Bobby trading in for the lynx. Great review
I'm very very tempted haha!
If I didn't just buy a new truck I would

This was straight out of the box so the limiter strap can be brought in to keep the front end on the ground more.
I bought one today. Thanks for the video.
Congrats man! I'm jealous still waiting on mine
@@Revrider550 you live in the states?

What time were you over at bibbens today? Me and my friends stopped by and saw some guys ripping it
Sweet thanks for the review. Just looked at one today.
So i ride mostly Lake George Adirondack is it too much for my local trails here
I feel like it's what the X's and XR-S's were back when they came out before Ski-Doo softened them up.
Still they have always been softer than Rave's. You should try one, it's and awesome beast!

One badass machine!!!
Could truly be the most ‘fun’ 50/50 sled on the market. Throw a 1.6-1.75” lug on it and damn.
Thats what I kept thinking! (man with a 1.75 this thing would be a monster on and off trail)

That's awesome! We want to try one!!
I guess I need a new sled now.

'Girthier sled" I'm dead lmaoo
She thicc haha.
Solid intro video. Well done.
That machine looks awesome 👌. So much fun. Transfers like crazy.
Wondering how it would be carving miles on the trails?
Let’s go!!!!! 😈😈
Awesome!!

I talked to a guy test driving one on the trail today. He said he can't keep the front end down on the trails. They look amazing !
It lifts the skis like no tmrw. May take a little tweaking for tight trails. Super fun sled though!!
Lay off the flipper 😂
@always pro choice It's another option for potential buyers. That's all .
@always pro choice seriously? How can you possibly say that without driving it?
@always pro choice i don't think ski doo has PPS 3 😅
Good review
Thanks!
The plastics are actually 2 inches narrower than the g4
The side panels are? Wow i had no idea. I could see that being the case around the console. Feels super narrow in that area.
@@Revrider550 yeah probably👍
Told ya Bibbens is number 1! 🤘🏼
#1 for sure my man!!
And it is definately not a ski-duh. There is a reason why Lynx is the most popular sled in Funland. We can buy skidoos and polaris (
It's the most popular brand in Europe also💪
Next years new sled??????????
Stronglyyyyy considering!

This is a mountain sled... Put 1.5 track on a summit and trail ride it...
No sir this is Lynx equivalent to ski-doo’s mxz xrs... 😂 so it’s the top of the line trail sled
@@joonasriihimaki1311 I must say the short machines peform well in deep snow also,my xrs handeld 1,3 meters of snow with no problem👍

Just a show no rides. Doo will be at daikers. Havent heard anything on other brands
