I remember taking my daughters in for classroom setup time when they were little. Such great memories! I hope you're husband is doing well and congratulations on his last round of chemo!
The sweetest memories for sure! A little less productive,, but a lot cuter 💞 Thank you so much for your well wishes and love - it is so so appreciated!
I like the yellow as an accent color depending on the rest of your decor. I really like it with your blue wall behind it. Small accents of yellow in other parts of the room would look amazing.
@@lifewithmrsleet3708 That may be an option. Maybe a muted mustard yellow? It's hard for me to say for sure because I'm not seeing it in person. I'm thinking of the yellow of Pooh Bear along with the pink of Piglet and the blue of Eeyore. Does that make sense?
I think you if you decide not to use the yellow, are you open to keeping the black and using it instead of the yellow? The black goes well because it's a neutral color which will match with the blue and pink, but the best part is that it ties in the black polka dot fabric beautifully! Sending positive thoughts and prayers for you, your husband, and your family. ❤
The yellow is nice you should pin stripe it with the nice pastel pink sort of giving it a starburst candy effect so the kids can feel like there bursting into the new school year ready to learn 😊
Congrats on finishing chemotherapy for your husband. As I watched, I relally liked the yellow against the paint on that wall. i would suggest you consider your border with that board as you decide if it works with your color theme. I also noticed that I did not appreciate the pink board asuch. The pink looks very muted or brownish pink against the wall color. If you wanted stand out bold colors, the yellow works. If you wanted tamer more subdued colors as the pink aginst the light wall, you could change the yellow fabric. Again, you may have to consider it with your border to see if it ties in and becomes the look you want. Best of luck and I can't wait to see how it turns out!
I think it looks amazing already. Maybe the yellow could seem lighter with white boarders and decor on it? Prayers to your husband and family. Kudos to everything you're doing. You rock.
Thank you!! That’s a good point! I’m going to give it a little time & put up some of my other decor before making a decision I think 🤪 so appreciate your prayers & kind words!!
Thinking of you and your family! Loved seeing this first set up video. I’m going to switch my classroom up a bit this year too as I’ve been in the same classroom for as long as you!
Happy setup season! Been out of the classroom for a few years, but still love to see all the work educators put into their spaces! I think the yellow is gorgeous (my favorite tbh), but very warm-toned by comparison. I would think about expanding the palette with intermediate shades between the very pastel pink/blue and the very saturated yellow. Maybe let the blue walls shine and replace the board fabric with another color? Also depends on the border 😊 Here are the hex codes I was considering: Pink: #f4cdcf Blue: #a9bdbb Yellow: #d8a317 Add: #f0ac62, #e36849
Took my daughters (3 and 1) in today to work on my classroom. Took 3 hours to finish like 30 minutes worth of work 😅 Have the best school year! ❤ Praying for your husband
I think the yellow is a little bright compared to the other colors. The other three go pretty well together, but the yellow is a little too much. I was trying to think of a way you could mute the yellow a bit and maybe washing it or leaving it in the sun for awhile. I know I had yellow curtains that turned to a pastel after they were up for a bit in the sunshine.
Why do we close our eyes when we pray, cry, kiss, or dream? It's because the most beautiful things in life are not visible, but are felt deeply within the heart.
I think the yellow is too bright(I'm sorry), Maybe try mint green; pastel purple or a lighter yellow. Think maybe mint green is best? Just a thought.Alici from CT
I think the yellow is a little too bold. Maybe a softer yellow or more of one of the other colors. You're doing great and it will look great no matter what.
That’s what my instinct is saying too. I was going for a more mellow mustard yellow & didn’t quite achieve that. I think I’m going to get up my other decor first & then make a decision. Super appreciate your input!!
Yellow seems too bright without anything on it. It seems more of a primary color and not a pastel. My best wishes to your husband and family. My mom is 40+ years post colon cancer. I do understand.
Totally agree! Leaning towards switching up the yellow, I’m going to give it until I put up some of my other decor and then make a decision. Super appreciate your input. 💞 thanks for the solidarity and best wishes, it truly warms my heart🫶
I love the colors, but the yellow is to bright. Maybe see if you can find a more buttery yellow fabric and go with the others you have except the bright yellow. :)
Thanks for the feedback!! I’m thinking so too - it’s not quite the color palette I’m thinking. I’ll keep it up for a bit & re try after getting more decor up
The yellow is brigh, maybe a pastel yellow😊. Prayers for your husband’s recovery and your sweet family😊
Thank you so very much Tricia!!
Great video! Thank you for sharing. I hope your husband is doing well and enjoyed his subway☺❤
Not me fan girling over the fact that you watched my video 🫶 You are BEYOND kind! Thank you for your sweet words, generosity and well wishes!!

I like that idea a lot!! I was really imagining some yellow in parts of the room but that might still work with black. Great suggestion! Thank you 🫶
@lifewithmrsleet3708 You're welcome!! I think it will look so clean, crisp, and calming because of the blue and pink. 😉
Since you want a pastel theme, I suggest you get some softer-colored yellow material.
That’s what I’m leaning towards too!! Thanks for your honest opinion 💞

Ooo that is such a fun idea!! Thank you 💞🫶
I like the yellow and the pop of color! Continued prayers for your husband and your family :)
Good to know!! I think I’ll give it a little & put up my other decor before making a final decision. Your prayers are so very appreciated 💞
I like the yellow. Kids love bright colors!😊

The colors remind me of a Ticonderoga pencil with the yellow, pink, silvery blue.
lol you’re so right!! I never thought of that!
I think the yellow could work and be super cute depending on the rest of your decor/borders 🥰

I think you’re right lol - that’s okay!! I’m going to start the decor process and see where it leads me I think!!
The yellow does no go, get more dots or pink, since the wall is blue.

My thought is the yellow is too bright.
I think I agree! Going to wait for a few more things to come in / set up and then make some decisions!!
