Great show guys! Drew Sanders concerns me. We haven't had much success with "tweeners" in the past. Mike LB requires as much or more instincts as any defensive position and those tend to be developed before the pros. Also concerning, we gave up 70 without Jewel and Simmons who was our "eraser" on defense.
What bothers me with respect to Drew Sanders is our plan for him. We're always talking about vision.....where's the vision for Sanders? Love the player, but we need to decide what we're going to do with him. Did we really use a high draft pick on a player who we didn't even know how he'd fit with the team? And to add to the frustration, we often heard about how Sanders could do things no one else could, and that it would be hard to keep him off the field, how we'd come up with packages just to get him playing.....then we never even saw the guy.
That's definitely what we are waiting to see!
Mims has already shown us a bunch and Sanders has shown some good play. I hope Moss works out opposite PSII. Payton now has completed a year of building the foundation and he has made some moves in this "offseason". Of course, there is still the QB question. This year is the first time in three years Denver has an interest in day one of the draft. Fair winds and following seas to us all.
Are you really blame the fans (@25:50min), for rushing/dis'ing players. It seems to me, watching TV/TH-cam for decades/decade... the commentators are more critical than 99% of the fans. Or is it commentators getting the fan base all spun up for or against player(s), to get clicks or views.
Honest discussion about what player will have a good/great year, is great and keep up the good work on that end of it. Lets have more of that.
Nobody is blaming the fans for anything. That’s legitimately something fans are saying about Drew.
