Damiano, the singer, is also the lyricist. He wrote this song after his recent break up with his longtime girlfriend, so it's about the loss of the relationship that he attributed with keeping him alive during some of the hardest times of his life.
The band name is pronounced moh-nes-kin, it's a Danish word that means Moonshine

They are three guys and a girl. Damiano (he) on vocals, Thomas (he) on guitar, Ethan (he) on drums, Victoria (she) on bass. All very young, 25 and under, and all immensely talented.
