      One comment. Han is the players last/fanily name. Korean names usually have 3 syllables, the first usually being the last name (think son heung min, son is his family name). Calling the player song here is weird. Call him han (if youre going by last name) or kwang song if youre using his first name.

      He's born and raised in Japan. His family were Koreans who lived in Imperial Japan before WW2 ended. Many Koreans at that time never left Japan, and decided amongst themselves to be North or South Korean.
      The player you speak of is technically North Korean, but has a vastly different background and life from other North Korean people.

      He does play at a club. Problem is that DPRK FA releases only the bare minimum of information to FIFA when it comes to communication with the outside world. It is rumored that he plays for April 25 which is the best club in North Korea. Problem is that no one can really authentificate that.

    He is currently playing in the strongest team in North Korea called 4.25 SC. He is now 26 years old, but there is an example of Vardy in football. If he plays in the right team he can be rise again.
    So at least he can continue his career in the Chinese Super League, which is an ally of North Korea.
    A football player who signed for Juventus and scored goals and assists in Serie B and A can easily play in Chinese teams.

      @@Mohagnito94 It’s unfortunate that this players career can’t continue outside of North Korea, but it is completely right that he isn’t allowed to play for foreign clubs. This is because the North Korean regime takes the salaries of these players (and any other North Koreans working abroad) as a source of foreign currency. So any club that would sign this player would be indirectly funding the North Korean regime.

      It’s seems crazy to me that we can cut off North Korea from world trade and then have the audacity to criticize them for struggling to feed their population.

      They 100% isolate 99% of their population, UN made sure the other 1% stayed in as well. Its terrible for this kid but NK used slave labour abroad as well as the high odds of spying, UN doesn't wanna deal with it. You can google as well how they would literally put your entire family in a labour camp if you would try to escape NK.
