Blessings and greetings to all of you from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. God wants us to have a real repentance from sin and move forward everyday.

I have a question about the topic of God disciplining us. Is there a difference in the consequences of sin, like herpes, and the punishment to David and God bringing a sickness on his son who died after David committed adultery? I have a hard time bringing these two things together. Thanks for your guys podcast and ministry!

    I’ll disagree on one count:
It says in Isaiah 53:10 that “it was the will of the Lord to crush him.”
You said that sin crushed Jesus on the cross, but that’s not accurate because an eternal God cannot be crushed by any amount of sin. Instead, it is God’s wrath that was poured out on Jesus in our place.
The distinction is a difference of a couple words and I’m sure it was unintentional, but I think it’s an important one.
Otherwise a fantastic episode! I have struggled with the feeling of God hating me for my sin in the past. Romans 8:1 has become a verse for encouragement of myself and others as I work to promulgate the truth that shame is a tool of the enemy.
