Lol 😂 I also loved The Pink Ballerina Barbie I had her as a child! You're not really going to be able to rebody 1979 Kissing Barbie, her head construction is pretty unique. Only 1981 Western Barbie has a similar head construction. The head is actually a vinyl 'skin' over a hard plastic 'skull', which is permanently attached to the torso. There is a rigid but flexible mechanism connecting the tab on her back to the doll's mouth, which gently pushes her lips forward to mimic a kissing motion. The sound feature is really just a byproduct of the mechanism rubbing together on the inside. The missing chips of plastic on the doll's neck can be repaired with some kind of epoxy clay or UV resin, and painted to match the surrounding material, that's how I would restore this doll. Other than that she just needs a bath, some paint retouching at her lips, and a bit of hair finessing. I like to give these dolls rose-pink acrylic paint lipstick to emulate the color of the lipstick that was included with the doll, the original lip paint is a pretty bland, faded mauve color and was always meant to be covered by the more intense lipstick that would then get transferred to stationery or Ken's cheek. I like to give her more vibrant lipstick to give her the look the doll has in the 1979 product photography for the retailer catalog and advertising.
