      Thank you, glad you like it. That’s what I was shooting for to make it short and sweet so people don’t have to watch an hour long video. I figure most people know how to take the stuff out. Just don’t know how to figure out what’s wrong. Thanks again for your comment.

    You are awesome. This has been such a pain but your videos have helped a lot. After trying 3 sensors and having the light go off intermittently I did the magnet test and the bypass and so I’m guessing it’s the magnet inside the tank. I have a tank coming and will remove through the wheel lining like you mentioned

    I’ve gone through the same thing thank you very much my stupid ass thought it was a liquid reaction sensor but it’s magnet that makes a lot of sense thank you again😊

    Yeah, replacing the coolant tank never thought of that The saying goes, you learn something new every day

      So what would be the ohms reading? because my voltmeter is a free 1 from Harbor freight

    Thanks. I just replaced my tank due to a leak at the clam shell seam. I also drained coolant. It all worked great, got all the air out and then put it all back together. couple days later the low coolant came back on. I did the paper clip and that took care of the low coolant. It's a new coolant tank and the level it at max. guess I'll try and yank out the sensor. The original sensor I was not able to remove, and I've got it setting on the workbench.

    • @imthewraith
      @imthewraith  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, the old sensors can be a pain to get out sometimes and sometimes it’s easier and better just to replace it with a new one. That way you know both are new and you don’t have to worry about it. Just remember to add a little lubricant on the O-ring when you try to put it back in to make it easier. Sometimes it can be hard to put back in, take a rubber mallet or something that won’t damage it and tap it in. Good luck.

    Is that a compressor for your airbags on top of the wheel well liner???

    • @imthewraith
      @imthewraith  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry it took me so long to respond. I just saw your question and thanks for your question. Yes, that is an air compressor for the airbags on the back springs for when he’s hauling something heavy.

    Well if the paper clip makes the light go off that'll be all I need thanks. I keep an eye on my temp guage all the time I don't need no stinkin sensor

      What temperature does your Ram run at say, 100 degrees in the summer? Thanks for your time.

    • @imthewraith
      @imthewraith  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@robertalessio9931 sorry I just saw your post, most of the newer vehicles run a thermostat around 180 to 190 for fuel economy, and emissions, the gauge in the truck will show I believe it was around 200 to 210 something like that. Hope that helps.

    • @wildredneck2287
      @wildredneck2287 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Did you just electrical tape the paper clip in

    • @imthewraith
      @imthewraith  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@wildredneck2287 no, I didn’t tape a paper clip in it. That will work if you need the light off for inspection or don’t have the money to replace the tank but I did it correctly and replaced the tank and sensor. My sensor was good but I went ahead and replaced it for the tank and sensor would be good and I wouldn’t have to worry about it anymore. Thanks for the question.

    Apparently there is no video on coolant tank removal. Two show the where, then jump to it totally removed. Should have recorded your removal.

      thanks for your comment and your right, I should have. I didn’t think about even making this video to after the fact. But just in case you haven’t done it yet, not knowing exactly which truck you have, I ended up having to take this one apart and drop it out down through the fender Well to get it out.
