SS was on their own internal radio channel, which is separate from local security. Local security left the SS sniper teams two radios for comms with local security, but the SS sniper teams didn’t pick up the radios.
Is “no harm, no foul” the correct attitude for this? People were injured and killed so I see that as harm and a foul by the SS. AND the department(s) ALSO makes sure these people are ready to go back to work MENTALLY.
It's TRAUMATIC seeing others killed, seeing the dead & bloody bodies, being shot at or having to shoot another human being.
Even if it's in self defense, shooting & killing another human can affect & traumatize you for the rest of your life.
Police & Law Enforcement Departments KNOW THIS.
They REQUIRE you speak to a counselor (whether you want to or not) before returning to work.
Even then, many do "desk duty" until it's clear they're ready to resume their original duties.
