I allways used a paddle kayak and I wanted to get a pedal kayak I can use in the sea so got the old town salty pedal kayak and it so good good I took it to a lake recently and it glided over the water with ease such a great kayak!

Ive been using the salty for 3 years. Exclusively fish rivers and salt flats. I think its the best fishing kayak on the market and its my 3rd peddle drive kayak. Currently own it and a Hobie Revo 13. Its fast and turns great. I love the cockpit layout. I love the front well. I love it.

Nice upload man. The Salty is a great hull. Lot of good things about the yak but my cons are - no side pockets from the factory, off set stern handle as you mentioned, hull slap can be annoying & lastly, installing a finder is not the easiest. I also wished Old Town revised their transducer placement. Or maybe have something covering it for protection like Hobies. Otherwise this yak is a winner in my book.

I upgraded, from paddle only, to Salty 120 PDL in June '21
Yes, it's fast, yes it's nimble, it takes chop better than my Sportsman 120 PDL.
I added some storage options and love it..
I feel comfortable standing to stretch my legs, take a leak, but wouldn't want to do a hook set and fight a fish while standing it is a little more tippy than the Sportsman.
If I had to choose only one to keep, I would keep the Salty.
