Lovely still afraid of snakes . HE is beautiful behind a glass. Working on my snake fear. Beautiful snake! Name a mocktail after him being the biggest.
he is my favourite animal at australia zoo. I always have to pop by his enclosure when i get there and then just before i leave the zoo. Thank you for sharing the info about him! Amazing to learn more about him each time :)
I get that a fear of snakes is often a phobia, and is therefor irrational by definition, but i still don't get how anyone could be afraid of such sweet spaghetti puppies.

Simple in the zoo your fine in the wild they can kill. Once my cousins and I took our dogs for a walk on dirt track we were very familiar with which wasn’t far from my grandparents place. It’s rare to see snakes actually on the track. One day we saw a huge black snake on the track we turned around and walked back the way we came with the dogs. Snake venom is fatal to humans and dogs.
@@lauraclaire then its a good thing i was talking about constrictors like the one in the video? And yeah, i know snakes can kill. But when vending machines kill more Americans that constrictor snakes each year, i don't think its really a concern to have.
It used to be really bad for me. If I watched something and there was a snake I’d literally have to wrap myself in a blanket. 😂 now I can watch this and be fine.
0:49 Wow, 5 men to hold that gigantic snake! 😲 1:39 I have wondered about that as soon as I saw the thumbnail: Is this not an illegal species in Australia? 🤔 Know we know that he was a rescue. 🐍
Burmese pythons are generally very easy going snakes. They call them the gentle giants of the snake world. Very relaxed and slow moving most of the time. Basically you just feed them with the same routine every time, and that way they always know when they are, or arent, being fed. Most of them are very unlikely to bite, as long as they know they arent being fed. If they are never fed outside of their enclosure, then the risk of being bitten outside of the enclosure will be very very low. They arent out to get people by any means. I keep them as pets. They are perfectly legal here. None of mine are this big, but i worked with one at a former job that was even bigger. She was our states record holder before she passed away.
Nope nope nope just nope I would run like the wind I was at the zoo a few years back and they were getting the taipan out for its enclosure for cleaning I did the scooby door run the boys who were getting him out was in fits of laughter lol all I could think about was getting out 😂😂 I never ran so fast in my life 😂 @australiazoo

I would do the same thing and run a mile with lizards as well 🇦🇺
Do snakes need much sunshine and exercise?
They do need uvb for their overall health. However, letting them out 3-5 time a month to Plat is good.
