Wow! Another great awesome video Alex! And I like the beer idea! Ok, I am an older person and recently I decided to go back to double edge razor shaving. Just out of memory the other night I decided to use an old trick to check the direction of my beard growth; it came naturally to mind yet was something I had not done in over 40 years. Find the thinnest credit card you have, or a business card, or a thin yet strong flexible piece of plastic. Then using a strong light and a two sided mirror, use the magnification side of the mirror to watch and make believe you are shaving with the credit card. You will be amazed at the swirls and hair growth direction changes you find! And the second benefit is you will be practice shaving, great for beginners - a make believe razor with no shave cream in the way. You can feel what it is like to go with the grain, across the grain, and against the grain. And … no nicks, cuts, or ingrown hair! Easy! Well, take care. Your videos are fantastic!
Hi Sir 👋 that is a great method of finding out how your beard is growing. Definitely I will try it 👍 and welcome back to the world of DE shaving 😉 thank you for all the feedback and support, really appreciate it 😊 Have a great Sunday, stay safe & cheers!
I mapped out my beard the same way, not to fuel your RAD but Rockwell is coming out with a new razor on the 19th of June, they sent me an email about it, it looks like a TTO Razor and looks like stainless steel, but I’m just guessing as they only show the top cap in the promo email.
Hmmm 🤔 I wonder how the razor it’s called. I checked the website but I didn’t find nothing. It says in the email how the razor it’s called? My RAD it’s already boiling 😅 Have a great weekend!
I just recently started using a safety razor. I have a Muhle Open Come razor. How is it that you prevent razor burn and excessive tugging when shaving against the grain on your neck?
Hi 👋 For me, when I shave against the grain, I don’t have a lot of beard left, because most of it is gone when I shave with the grain and across the grain. So the 3rd pass, against the grain, it’s really smooth and I don’t get any tugging. Now, in case of the razor burn, maybe you use a too aggressive razor, or maybe the blade that you use in the razor is not the right one for your skin type. Which blade do you use? I would suggest, if you just got started with wet shaving, try using a mild razor, closed comb (Mhule R89 or Merkur 34c). And after you find the blade that works well for you, try using it with the open comb razor. And one more thing, prep your face really good before the shave, and try using a preshave also. Hope this helped. If you have any more questions please don’t hesitate to ask. Keep in touch & cheers! ✌️
BIC chrome platinum. One of my favorite blades! My beard map is total chaos ;) Have a nice weekend Alex!
Thank you 😊 A great weekend to you also 😉

Thanks for the advice, I'll have to pick up some more things to help prep my face, still have a lot to learn!
