@TetraNinja idk if you read your comments or not, but from observing this game so far, you gotta put the wooden shotgun in the statue, take off the broken shotgun, then find and use another gun repair kit on the broken one. That's what the wooden one is for.

@The Big Crunch I searched it and found "it only happens if he spots you while you're trying to escape through that trap door." Make sure he doesn't see you in that room and avoid it.

the woodshotgun is the replacement of broken shotgun use the repair gun kit to fix the broken shotgun cause that broken shotgun is stronger of what shotgun you have now
you can put the wooden shotgun in the place of the broken shot you used earlier and repair the broke shotgun. never played re7 but seems obvious to me lol

DemonicSelk he can't survive because if you try to put "loser" on the door it just says it would be hard to figure out the password without knowing it. So no matter what you have to let the oil out in the room with the cake

Something for your consideration btw, (if you havent allready done so) considering you can repair weapons, it might be possible to replace that broken shotgun you put on that statue in an earlier part with the wooden shotgun and repair that too at some point D:. Also that weapon schematic you found in an earlier part can probably still be used in some way too (you were unable to take it with you by the looks of it). It would be a shame to miss out on potential weapons :D EDIT: Someone else allready suggested this :P so ignore me :D (at least the shotgun part, the shematic might still be worth it though D:)
You want a challenge? you should try going for 3 trophies. 1 - finish the game without opening the storage box more than 3 times. 2 - finish the game without healing more than 3 times. 2 times really, since you have to at the beginning. 3 - finish the game without killing anything, except the areas you have to like Bosses and that one barn fight.

Yup, there was a puzzle involving a swap with a shotgun. Although I think you just switched it with a broken one, not wooden (not 100% sure).
