- Penny's theme changes depending on if you win or lose a microgame on her stage, that's why the timer doesn't skip ahead when you finish a game fast like on all other stages
This video plays the success version, then the failure version for each verse. And then it moves on to the next one
I tried listening to the failure lyrics myself but I'm super tone-deaf, so I used the description of this video as a "hearing guide":

As many of you have pointed out it's very possible the failure lyrics at 2:24 actually say "it's missing a screw..."
Like I said I wrote the failure lyrics by ear cause the official ones aren't documented lol, so take that one line with a big grain of salt

Edit: Just noticed at 1:58 it's "even GOOD songs can fall through", not "even NEW songs can fall through" (the speedup cuts out the d, so it sounds like "goo"), but still you did a really good job with these lyrics
I love the fact that even the "Failed" lyrics stay on character

It's more than that. It's not just fun because she stays in character and stays positive, or even that it deliberately includes voice cracks to botch the song to mirror your failure in the minigame. It's that it almost completely recontextualizes the song to involve how despite screwing up constantly she tries her hardest, to keep giving you a reason to want to keep playing and trying anyway. Both versions of the lyrics send the same message, but the failure lines feel more poignant.
Honestly, "may hurt but it's okay" is the superior lyric in my opinion.
Fun fact: This stage is the only that doesn't have the microgame end early if you finish it early. Likely so everything in the song is all rhythmed up
The same thing applied to all Wario Ware games that have a song playing in the background like Tomorrow Hill with Dribble and Spitz in Smooth Movies or Ashley's Song in Touched

The only other stages I can think of that have a vocal song with longer games not ending early are ashley's song and wario deluxe

I didn’t realize when playing this stage that there were seperate lyrics for success and failure on certain micro games. It’s stuff like this that leads me to believe that this game had more effort put into it than most installments in the Warioware series.
warioware smooth moves did the same thing in tomorrow hill.
Dynamic music is nothing new for the series. In the first game, in Dribble & Spitz's stage, the music has a radio filter that gets turned on and off whenever you go between the microgames and the driving screen.
It also had special transition tunes just for that stage. And of course, Drifting Away switches between its 4 variants all the time.
Neither did I
Tomorrow Hill of Smooth moves also had that.
Warioware gold's final stage was one of the few where the devs went ahead and actually made it something that made you FEEL awesome. Get it together final fight doesn't feel like warioware in a good way, so it's the best only if you count the final as a "warioware stage". Move it just feels more bland honestly

I like how it’s still positive, despite the sorrowful and the off key failure moments in the lyrics.
I love the part at 1:32 where the singer’s voice goes from Penny’s voice to what’s probably the singer’s regular voice
Both versions not only fit Penny's character but are a perfect fit for the core mentality of a growing scientist/creator. The success lyrics rightfully show great pride and passion, while the failure lyrics take missteps on the chin and ultimately use them as data for future endeavors. You can really feel how much thought they put into this.

Yeah, I imagine it's some kind of MIDI type system under the hood, where the game plays the right samples at the right times/speeds/pitches to compose the music on the fly, as it were. It's kept in sync amazingly well, really impressive stuff.

I won hundred percent heard that. I did a test to see if I heard something different every time I listen to that part, nope. I hear the same thing every time. I always hear it’s missing a screw if you think about it though, those lyrics makes sense.
