That’s the beat leaking through Mac’s headphones but since Mac’s vocals get pitched up (I believe 6 semitones) the beat does too so you can hear the electric piano a Tritone above, which creates a kind of disturbing sound

my favorite mac. it takes a couple songs to get use to the vocal pitch but its so creative. it sucks he had to be using drugs so heavily for this to be created but thats what gives it that spark and that edge
