my favorite part about this cover (other than the cover itself) is that all of the characters (minus blue) are encountered in this cover in the order they're encountered in the game since you get introduced to green before orange and purple, orange you see in a cutscene before purple, and purple is the last one you learn about as he appears in the final scene before the night begins.

Actually the order here does make sense, Blue is the mascot of Rainbow Friends (Just like Sonic is with SEGA.) and the first friend to appear in night 1. Green follows up in night 2. Although it’s confusing to decide which places Orange and Purple would get, but I’m assuming Orange is Knuckles because he is the fastest friend in Rainbow Friends. Like Knuckles with his fists when he’s in combat. Have you ever seen sonic X? Purple is eggman because we don’t know what Purple truly looks like in the game and in Friends to Your End, the order does go: Green, Orange and Purple. Excluding Blue. And one last thing, Purple just gives that overall mystery feeling to play as eggy. I’m probably overthinking this but I hope this comment clears things up.
