It is finally time to get the sprinter van out into the backcountry for a camping and cooking adventure. This time I head out to the Lake Chelan area on the eastern slopes of the Cascade Mountain Range in Washington state in search of some unexplored territory that I have never been in.

Do it while you can. No one is young forever, no matter how much we try and fool ourselves. I am 68 now, been doing a lot of two and three week trips for about 3 years now. I am currently laid up after ankle surgery. My sixth one now. Things break, wear out, and just quit working.The time will come when I will be forced to stop altogether, I realize that time is running out now, and I am wanting to see so much more.
This 79 yo retired, librarian, grandmother is so happy to see you back. I look forward to seeing a tour of the inside in the future.
