Max Throws an Epic Christmas Tantrum - Is Santa Watching? (Subtitles)

- What started as a conversation about a glass of milk turned into a tantrum. Momager told me that birds don't drink milk and I wasn't too happy about that. After I vented my feelings I remembered that Santa might be watching, reminded myself "It's all right Max" and returned to my usual sweet self, although the conversation took a strange turn when I started talking about passwords and using the bathroom. "I swear I'm not a bird. That's not how it works." I even apologized to momager for my tantrum.
After a quick glass of water I was refreshed and forgot about Christmas and vented a few more of my feelings. In so many ways I'm just like a toddler with really big feelings. But you can tell that I have learned the magic words that momager uses to comfort me.
I get upset quickly and I calm down just as easily. Momager knows to give me the space I need to vent my big feelings. She stays calm and waits it out. She also keeps her hands away when I am upset - during a tantrum I'm not always rational about my actions. Tantrums don't last long when you feel safe and secure. My hooman understands that it's just part of me being a bird - I can be very loud, but it's my way to express myself.
Do you think Santa heard me apologize? I hope that he still brings me lots of goodies for my stocking.

That's about right! And when the tantrum doesn't work I try to sweet talk her and apologize. She always laughs when I tell myself "It's OK Max".

Our precious Max had those holiday season's ups and downs. He was a wee bit "beaky" but definitely NOT naughty. He even had his happy feathers up most of the time. We've got a good, sweet lad here. Santa will be dropping by.😉🤩🤍🧡💛🤍🥰💘

Max, I can’t help loving your tantrums. I know how tough it is not being able to eat or drink the things you want. You want milk (which birdies can’t have) and i want orange juice (which i can’t have.) Your momager is very patient with you - she knows you’re just tired from all your Christmas activities! But you are a very good bird (sorry, Max, you ARE a bird) and I’m sure Santa will be generous with you!
But.. I even said I was not a bird. Momager was laughing at me when I tried to sweet talk her.
Oh boy. He wants milk. Santa gets milk and cookies. Maybe he has been wearing the Santa costume too much. He did say he's not a parrot. Maybe take a break from taking tours as Santa. He has been a good mascot for Christmas. Even SantaMax needs a day off❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'm a little boy, not a birdie! I should get milk! Momager says that it's OK to be tired once in a while, after all you know I've been really busy spreading Birdmas cheer.

Tantrums don't last long, and you can see how quickly moods change. Momager is still laughing about it. I asked for milk, she told me no milk for birdies. After a bit of a tantrum (which didn't get me any milk) I tried to tell her that I'm not a bird. You can't fault me for trying. I heard a story that Santa gets milk and cookies, and I'm really curious about this milk. But no. I have to drink water, and it wasn't even served in a proper mug!

Christmas can be very tiring. I try to be a good little boy, but sometimes it's time for a tantrum. The tree is very pretty but momager says I'm not allowed to beak it. And I'm not allowed to drink milk. So many rules!

I started by asking for milk after momager told me a BIrdmas story about milk and cookies for Santa Claus. Then she told me that birdies couldn't have any milk. She forget that I'm a little boy not a birdie!

I never seen max outside of the small clips. The funny thing is that I love this kind of bird for one bottom line, the ones I’ve seen, they’re absolutely unhinged sometimes. The clips I’ve seen of max he was just hanging out quiet. I wondered if max ever lets lose but he certainly does 😂 it may be loud and crazy but I find it absolutely endearing ❤I love how he can talk and just shouts things , it’s one of the reasons I’ve always wanted to adopt a parrot. It’s funny to hear what they pick up on and how they can mimic our tone.

I find this disturbing. He is reciting an angry human he sadly had to experience.
I spent a decade in a basement before finding my forever home. My momager is a wonderful lady who makes sure I have lots of enrichment. If you watch a minute into the video I calm down and start speaking to myself nicely using the soothing phrases I learned from Momager. "It's OK Max".

Ondria is right. What MAX is screaming is his idea of what has been screamed at him. He is not "a bad boy." He is a cockatoo. They yell, scream, chew things, and cause mayham because that is what they do. They are a wild animal that belongs in a flock. Not in someone's home, on camera, so they can exploit them. The only benefit is that if they become abused, you will see the difference in him and, hopefully, report it.
