Isso é que é dom e muito talento..Ser profissional no que faz e fazer com alegria, bom humor, dinâmica e não esses lixos que chamam de música de hoje, que mesmo cantada não traz cultura nenhuma. Bravo!
For all those guys scandalized about a drum under classical music, saying that that is raping the music, that it doesn't make no sense, that this is a blasphemy and so on: That's pretty evident that you don't know Mozart. He was a revolutionary artist, who broke the rules to make something new! I'm sure he would have loved that!
+Giovanni Spada The performance was "Beauty and the beat". Two obvious things can be drawn from that title. It will be centered around drums and they won't take themselves too seriously. With that now cleared, how can anyone think that this is blasphemy to classical music or that it isn't musical enough...? It is COMEDY variety centered around drumming performance. In its cheesiness, it's still levels above any stiff college humor satire.
Mozart por incrível que pareça, na época dele era visto como inovador irreverente, assim como o rock foi no século XX...esse conubio fica perfeito pois Terrana na bateria encarnou bem o espírito da música mozartiana!
Mike is a great musician and a comedian, if you ever saw him alive, you would understand. This comedy is played only for the Eine kleine Nachtmusik, he plays Dvořák's New world symphony as well and he takes it more serious. I love his performances, he helps extending music and shows us various possibilities in music. I understand why are people so mad about this, but c'mon, don't be so serious.
I like how this guy is famous for doing what people used to get mad at me for doing. Playing what you want, not necessarily what you’re “supposed to” and doing more than just keeping a beat and using the drums as an instrument, not just a time keeper!
2:23 from this angle I thought that cymbal overhead is a new rare type of cymbal that I've never heard of, that looks like a hanging wok. Until he hit it minutes after....
@@VeronicaGorositoMusic yo soy de 2005, no crecí con ellos, pero mi padre hace unos años me los mostró y fue esa noche que nos quedamos hasta las 3:00am viéndolos jajaja
Well, this is a very different way to listen to a piece of music by Mozart. Mozart himself was an absolutely genious musician in his time of life. This was worth listening to, although in saying this, there's always different ways that music can be played.
If Mozart was born in the twentieth century he would have done that because he was a real creative, virtuosic and modernist artist, the one playing pianoforte for the first time and composing brilliantly symphony concertos for it in the role of the soloist! Mozart has more in common with Mike Terrana and metal drummers than with conservatist sad classical fans. He was also one of the first to integrate precisely the instruments of the drumset in his European orchestration (big cymbals and tuned drums, tympani, from a Turkish origin). Good comedy performance besides, knowing Mozart health and letters. Mozart was a "punk" with transgressive manners, like all creative artists, real artists, because if you only copy, interpret: you are only a technician (i say it as a plastician: it's a shame that in the world of music, those obvious definitions and distinctions are so poorly understood)! Overall, Terrana's drumming fits very well the style of this particular joyful piece, and with a very difficult melodic playing (and a composition, and orchestration of his own), for a drumset (because of the distances of all instruments between each others: try it!). The fact that he's one of the only one to dare that and manage it brilliantly, proves two things: 1: he is very clever (way more than the ones who don't understand the meaning of all of this) 2: he's very talented as a drummer, even unique of this kind (it will be historically remembered, I can assure that as an awarded by his peers drumset historian). QED! Signed a drumset teacher and author, who know very well classical European music too.
Amo muito rock e amo muito orquestra,os dois ficaram perfeitos

He really does portray Mozart a lot. Mozart was the musical rebel of his time

I don't really understand why you thumbed up my comment, considering the fact that you don't agree with me
Because I agree with what you're saying in general
