In the heart of the rural area of Maramureș we discover an emotional universalization of the role and condition of women in a unique museum in Romania from this point of view. The museum pays tribute to the Woman who, through marriage, assumes the difficult role of taking care of the household and especially raising the multitude of children who were usually born in an ordinary family from Maramures. Apparently, it is an ordinary ethnographic museum, but it is a museum that comes to life through the presentation made by Maria Zubașcu, a local woman, who, gifted with the grace of storytelling, introduces us to the universe of traditions of the Maramuresian village of past centuries. As she also tell us at the end, it is a "true life story, lived". A shocking life story through the harshness of life of those times and somehow incomprehensible and unacceptable to the younger generations who listen to the story. It is remarkable how, for the authenticity of the speech, Maria Zubașcu uses the Maramures dialect without any restraint, a lot of archaisms and regionalisms that have to be looked up in dictionaries ... She is is a guide that, step by step, makes you live those times, to be happy or sad together with the characters of the village world that it opens for us.
