The upper bracket for the radiator needs two rubber boots that sit between the top of the radiator and the bottom of the brackets. (Basically the rubber boots are sandwiched between the top of the radiator and bottom of the brackets) the boots allow the radiator to move slightly, fixing it down solid to the radiator support will cause the radiator to crack.
Now THAT is what I'm talking about. I'm just so glad you did that engine bay. You maybe think it was a "waste" or a "bummer" that you had to "do it again" ... but I think it was ALWAYS the right thing to have done it. Bc while doing it it obviously looks 20x better, you detailed the engine something fierce, and the car is looking PERFECT, bro. Just perfect!!
i found a brilliant product recently that works so well on the under parts of cars, its a gas oil based product and black, it protects and hides that nasty grey dirty look, restores rusty surfaces penetrating deep into dirt and rust to protect metal, its also good for renovating black plastic parts such as wheel arch liners, i've used it on axles and gearbox components, engine parts, plastic and rubber hoses, radiator fans and most importantly it's not flammable, it can be sprayed lightly, brushed or use sparingly with a rag, it does leave a wet shiny residue but keeps everything looking good for longer even as the dust settles on it, its waterproof and great for reapplication when ever the need comes without going too mad - looking great and so's the car - Hey Marky your so fine you blow my mind !
Hello Mark, with this cover and fan from the front the cooling will not be enough on hot days if you want to use the engine power. Basically, a fan should always suck because it generates heat itself. For example, if it has the fan 100W of power then it also heats with 100W. Great content, keep it up and I'm really looking forward to your next video.
Looks gorgeous. Such a shame us spec s54’s don’t come with the itb’s! Here in the U.K., to me the induction noise on those s54’s is what makes them special
Marc I don’t think I would have used the fan shroud if I was fitting the fan up front as you are just blocking the rad from normal ventilation (pre- fan thermostat). If you leave the shroud on, you have to run the fan full time….
I have to agree. Or maybe I don't fully understand the custom setup, but you are restricting natural airflow. The fan requires the shroud at the back to act as a venturi.
13: 12 have someone tig weld some bolts upside down on top of the radiator exactly where your plastic radiator mount goes then you can just bolt it in..then get a couple aluminum knobs or make a couple threaded knobs to fasten it down...just a thought...or have someone tig weld two 1/2 inch thick mounting plates on top right there already threaded then buy a couple thread aluminum knobs to fasten it down...making it look like it was made that way and then others will see how you fixed your and do the same ...something like these maybe - M4 Screws with Handle Thumb Screws Male Threading Rotating Knob Adjustable Thumb Screw
What make and model of wheels are those? OZ racing or Compomotive? they look 17" 18:42: never ever do up wheel nuts really tight with a rattle gun just spin them on nicely and then do the final torquing to OEM spec with a 1/2" drive long handle torque wrench.
Looking great man, happy to see this one saved. The bodywork is impeccable! I hope you didn't toss the ABS pump, I'd like to buy it from you to rebuild! I sent you an email.
Looks like some work has been done on the mustang in the background but I haven't seen any videos of the new parts on it... last video I saw was you finishing up the front suspension.. now it's got glass in it and other parts I see.. did I miss a video or two somewhere 🤔
My only concern would be the fan itself , if it is designed to be mounted on engine side of the radiator it will have a sucking action when running , if you mount in on the front of the radiator it will be trying to blow forwards against the direction of the cars travel. Does that make sense or can you mount the fan blades the other way round so its drawing air from the front !
A fan is to cool the engine in tradmffic at low workload. When you're working it hard that small radiator and blocking airflow with a fan that could never blow as much air as airflow at 100mph is not going to cool enough. BIG PROBLEM. I'd make the rear mount fan work
You have your front brake rotors on the wrong sides. The rotor on the driver side should be on the passenger side and the rotor on the passenger side should be on the driver side. .
Dude I started this in January. Fully stripped to metal and full paint job while swapping an engine from another car. All after hours working as a full time body tech in a production body shop. What more do you want?
A fresh coat of undercoat? As in spray bomb junk? Hopefully you at least used bedliner and not that asphalt or rubberized crap....but kinda looks like you did.
I almost feel like this car needs an s54 NA. Everything is looking really good. Enjoying the content

This thing is such a gem it’s really coming together quick

Big up motorhead, big progress well deserved 🎉
Thank you for the support 👌🏻💯
Coming along so nicely!! Looking forward to that first start 💨
That beast is coming along really nicely. Can't wait to see it running.
That looks mighty fine Mark. Don`t start rushing now. Stick to your standards.
Rotors are correct and that thing is coming together nicely 👌 😊

Happy Easter to you and ALL your family. May the day be blessed with many offerings. Enjoy the day. Stay safe and be well.
Here in South Africa we produced the, unique to South Africa, 333i with the M69 engine. In its day that was a BEAST!
Matt done i nice job on the engine clean up - he can come and do mine in the UK
M3 is looking gorgeous!! I am impressed with your skills (nice fix for the brake coolers - gives it a track car look) and positive attitude!!
Thanks!!
She’s coming together great 👍🏾
Looking great you have done a amazing job
Fan needs to be on the back side pulling air through! You need the pressure drop through the radiator.

Fan shroud needs large holes placed into the sides, top and bottom. All the rad chambers need air moving across them. By large I mean 1-1.5 in.
This build is sick.
car is coming along pretty awesome.

I’m gonna do more research. I was just told the shroud helped direct air into the radiator
Marc at this point in time I hope you decide to MAKE a perfect set of wheel arch liners, you be glad you did in ten years time!!
I’m gonna buy oem ones
Good job 👏
Very happy for you.
Awesome content Marc. Go ahead and paint match the oil covers. BTW, get on that Miata. Happy wife!
The BMW Is looking good.

Vasily to the rescue!!
@@I-apologize-in-advancejust what I was thinking 😂🤌🏻

Very nice design with greetings from Poland
Great stuff, dude.
Thanks
Gday mate
Keep up the hard work my friend and looking great my friend ❤❤
I'm loving that Shade of Red!!
I didn’t like it at first now I wouldn’t have it any other color 😅
car looks great , thanks

Check the rotation of your fan you might be pushing out air instead of pushing it through the radiator

Fix the Miata - that girl deserves it!
Agree!
I am sure Mark and his lovely fiance will get some time together to work on it.
Did the Miata start ?
Marc the old trunking for the front brake cooling ducts looks a little smaller than you need….
It’s the original size, and it’s the size of the hole on the rotor guard
The car is looking awesome 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇬🇧

Everything looks good except fan placement, what about condenser for A/C?
tnx for the video
Are you doing the factory turn signal delete? 😂
Awesome build man, all the right stuff.
😂😂😂 need to buy some new ones 😅
What happened to the m3 that you and your brother built?
What happened to the other e30s the k swapped one and the ls swapped one
I sold mine when I got thisbone
@@Motorheadco ohhhhh gotcha that one is a bad bitch too 💪💪💪🔥🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯💯💯
Where is the turbo s2000 engine ?
Doing an awesome job Mark, Keep Orange Crushing It!
Keep all of the engine top covers black please!
a pull fan will not work as well when used as a push fan.
Good morning

I'm surprised your fiancé didn't want a convertible e30 instead of that Miata. You 2 could have matching cars.
You have your front brake rotors on the wrong sides. The rotor on the driver side should be on the passenger side and the rotor on the passenger side should be on the driver side. .
Marc just remind me about your big straight six motor, what is it actually? 🤔
S50 from e36 m3 🤌🏻
IS not real s50😅. American s50 is More like m52 strouker😂.
Buy your beautiful Mrs a decent MX5 happy wife happy life!!
God I miss my grey import 93 Eunos Roadster...the best in U.K.
What happened to using an S2000 engine?
I sold that car and bought a real m3. Took this engine from an e36 m3
Car is looking awesome shame about the wheels.
I've never seen a fan shroud mounted backwards like that before.
Turbocharger 🐌
Why does it take so long for you and your brothers to complete your personal projects !

Personally I would have gone with orinal motor to retain cars value and not chop it up.
You put all that effort into the body but half ass paint the subframe in the car. Why? 👎
