The year is 2005. American TV is still in its early phase of self-discovery. Networks are fighting neck and neck in desperate attempts to secure a loyal viewer base and now perhaps more so than ever due to the rise of the new adversary cable TV which has turned the TV landscape upside down. And so network executives do the only thing they can to salvage as much damage as possible: greenlight a bunch of shows and see what sticks. Admittedly, this is not the best strategy if you want to maximize profit in an efficient way and this is just a bold oversimplification of what happened, and we are sure the executives knew to some degree what they were doing, and it worked. If you do a simple Google search of TV shows released in the year 2005 you will recognize a bunch of shows and there are more than one would think. If you have watched some of our videos on Cinematica - and in case you haven’t, let me do you a favor right here - you already know some of them, but there is one show that we haven’t talked about, even though it’s been on the air for over a decade. After 19 seasons on the air, ABC’s hit show Grey’s Anatomy is still going strong, despite its many ups and downs. If you wanna know more, scrub in fellow intern. After all, it’s a wonderful day to save lives. I’m Keegan with Cinematica and you are watching 107 facts about Grey’s Anatomy.

For number 5, it makes that line where George is holding little Tuck about him and Bailey running away together as soon as his divorce from Callie is finalized even funnier.
I had no idea that was how George got the Nickname 007.
I'm surprised that the controversies of why George and Izzy actually left the show were not touched on hmm 🤔
which were what?
Izzy was a drama queen
@@lisabragg6181she was tbh
It’s be a boring list of they told us what is widely known already
@@cassiet.4304❤❤❤❤
#72 it was a seizure attack not a mass murderer. The guy didn't even remember attacking her.
I caught that as well
I thought for sure Fray “How save a life” would be the bigger song.
Mer's appy was most certainly not after the assault... The appy was in 3x04, while the assault was in 12x09.
I caught that too
Apparently, you never watched the show, because you keep mispronouncing, Dr. Karev’s name…..
It’s KA-REV … not KARE-EV
THANK YOU this was bugging me so so much
I kept thinking of Alex at the boards telling the other doctors "it's karev!"
Chicago med didn’t exist in 2005. that show came a decade later.
I think the real show they were referring to was E.R. I'm assuming the person who made this video is young lol
Er had 15 years with 331 episodes Grey's doesn't have 800 episodes 😅 someone needs to check facts
Honestly.. Please truly watch before making "facts" video
Well said…. Cringy… especially mispronouncing Alex Karev’s name.
It’s pronounced kuh-rev! 😫 lol
Not Ellen sharing her exit at the same time this video aired...
Unfortunate timing
Please do a 107 facts on What we do in the Shadows and Our Flag Means Death
i love love love this show i can't wait for the new episodes start. Even though I love the old days of the show.
It's a beautiful day to save live not a wonderful day
#77 Euphoria was never on Netflix it’s always been on HBO Max
When Bailey was pregnant in season 2, I believe she was also pregnant in real life.
I never knew the story behind death and die... thank you!
Great video! Lots of spoilers if you've never seen it.
I usually love your channel and your facts but damn, watch the show for god sake.
American TV was still in it's early phase of discovery in 1960, not 2005. When the opening line is that dumb, I bail. Bye.😂
Y’all need to look into Elizabeth finch 😅 that’s a whole story
Grey's anatomy existed before Chicago med. It existed before any of the Chicago shows
Except ER
@@gabriellawless2202 right but the claim that the decision to place the show in Seattle because of the Chicago med show is fake because Grey's anatomy existed before Chicago med
21:12 she's a legend ngl
Nr. 80 Shonda also decided that having Mark get back with Addison would mess up her plans for Addison and Jake
I’ve always wondered what Kathy C Anne’s story was like I always see her but she doesn’t she’s so mysterious
15:31 Rhonda?
I caught that too 😂😂
Of course. Rhonda Shimes is my favorite screenwriter.
Grays anatomy scrubs are so soft and comfortable. Just saying.
And at this point I'm just watching this because I like Grey's Anatomy. Because I know a lot more than you do about why season 2 was so much longer and it has a lot more to do with ABC and David e Kelly and Boston Legal which you may never have even heard of than whatever you're talking it up to. In fact I'm going to assume that there are fans of Grey's Anatomy who have been around since the very beginning and know these things better than you do. Perhaps you could get them to redo your video.
Chicago pd or any medical drama was waayyyyy after this show so the location is not a fact lol
They are referring to ER also set in Chicago
The surgeons are in the O.R throughout the entire series with no shoe coverings. This is an obvious mistake that never happens in a real O R.
If you don't know how to say Karev correctly, you shouldn't be doing this list.
Isn't owen back and Addison?
I thought Bohkee’s name is “Bohkee?” It’s on her instagram…
Private Practice also had crossover episodes
Betty White did her first TV broadcast in the late 1930s. TV is NOT new as of 2005
Number 45 confused me "an appendectomy after ebing assaulted by a patient". Think they goofed that one.
Before playing April Kepner Sarah Drew played a young pregnant woman who struggles with giving her baby up for adoption on Private Practice
I dont think you even watched the show.
Cable was common by the 80s... it wasn't "new" in 2005
Cinematica, can you please do 107 facts about I Love Lucy in a future video?
Do games
Only 107? You could do 107 facts per episode. So much you didn't even mention. *ALL* of the character exits should have been facts. I loved the list but it was sorely lacking.
Agreed… especially about being able to do 107 facts PER episode 😂
Can you do ncis
Why did you call him «dr. Kerev»????????
Did the same person write the script for this as choose the pictures and video for it because yes there was a TV drama set in the city of Chicago. And it wasn't Chicago med. Come on. How old are you? Too young to remember ER? Or come to think of it Chicago Hope? Well Chicago hope didn't last 15 seasons. Only six. But there were times when it was better than ER and there were times when it was not and there were times when they were both on in the same time slot. It was a good thing I had two VCRs.
Katherine Heigel total sh*t on the writers. It's not admirable of her to withdraw her nomination, it was really rude to Shonda and the writers.
Fact 63. Dont seem real...
A, Gorge was ne’er operated on, he wasn’t even there, he had died long before that bus accident. So…what ?😳
What do you mean “so….what?”
He WAS operated on after HIS bus accident
Lol, that cgi helicopter was ruffffffff
😂😂 it really was
