Speed is relative. They are feeling the same thing you feel. Sheer joy. I don't often break out in joyous laughter while riding but it does happen. Like you said. Rail a corner or clear a jump you have never done before and life is new again.
I'm a 56 yr old truck driver in the uk...I dont race..just a Saturday social thing...I work away all week 70+ hrs...just to ride Saturdays.. Mx is special..my 2 sons ride with me every wk end at our local tracks...life can't get any better.. Totally addicted..
It’s real simple. Once it’s in your blood your hooked for life. I raced amateur MX till I was 37. Got married, had kids and now I found dual sport riding. AND, I finally figured out why it’s so important. When I ride gnarly trails it’s 100% focus. In that state all worries, concerns, bills, taxes and politics disappear. It frees me from the insanity of the world, refreshes me so I can regroup to deal with all the madness better. It’s not an addiction where I can’t live without it but I do enjoy when I get chances to ride.
I like you dude ... great to see you recovered from that!!! And thank you for giving your knowledge to people in the sport all over the world / Eric Sweden
Only other time I've felt that outer body zen Ryan is talking about, is the rare occasion when I'm playing guitar live, and my fingers become the sound.....Having raced MX, I'm familiar with that feeling and recognize it when it has occurred....and it can occur in other things too
Thanks Donn & Ryno for both Interviews. Enjoyed the time spent with you both. Keep the lessons with Noah going . Really think you have the correct approach. Learn now and plan for the future. GREAT CONCEPT. This way will create less burnout and provide a more meaningful relationship with your motorcycle. Keep up the good work, thanks!
What an event,my left wrist once paralayzed for 1,5 year due to trauma on the nervus radialis in my upper arm.before&after surgery couldnt pull up my wrist&fingers nor stretch out my arm.(yes nothing in comparisson to this event).but made me think about how dependent i in reality really am.surgian said the nerve was 100% teared up but managed to repair it.im really glad to know it came to a good prognose for you.
My Dude...I was calm and collected all week ...but seeing that Cr blitz through all that fancy new hardware was epic. Granted Mike and Jeff put on a show, but to me the real race was 3-6th place. I screamed like a school girl (I'm 64) that whole third moto. Proud in the cheap seat my bullet! Cheers
I totally understand the SWITCH! I never qualified or practiced well but when the race came, an animal came out. Of course, I ended up broken and battered as well. I think it might be the guys who can control that and know when to back down that survive. Lol... Live and Learn!
Thank God you recovered Ryan!!! Great ideas to advance the sport. Very, very good ideas! True, listening to the riders post race is all so scripted. Let them be themselves.
Your such an inspiration in my life,I think haiden deegan should have a one on one with ryno, I'm sure it would help him in so many ways, if he could understand ryno.
I can relate after I snapped my femur I was scared to ride again I really was but after two weeks I was back to sitting in and the next week I was running the fields I couldn’t go out like that been riding since
Is this just not pure IRONY? Here Ryan is discussing how he's not interested in the competition any longer & he has just seriously injured his neck again, after this telling interview. Hang in there Ryan! Hey, Im an older, former desert rider & now just riding the EMTB, but even that has its dangers. Stay safe and slow it down!
Cool interview, glad I never drank. Always appreciate training to keep people off our heads for the most part, but still can't get my head around giving up on neck and knee pad/braces, and raptor style full chest protectors for the talent deprived weekenders. Maybe get involved with redesigned braces that don't hinder with his input testing on maneuverability. Would/did a neck brace have helped your brother, or was it a lower injury? Should have him visit for 20 questions.
Mike Brown ruined the whole field, I wish the power valves would have opened up but Brownie was adjusting his suspension settings in the podium, I love me some Ryan Hughes and am old enough to have lived through his prime, let’s give credit where it’s do
It's Mr Icon! The Man! The Myth! The Legend! You give me inspiration! I had to get rid of my 86 250 last year and it was my baby. Hard times, had to divorce my wife do to gambling problems and her being dishonest. She blew through my retirement savings, It was a 9+ out of a 10. I have to have back surgery at the age of 58, Do me a favor and stay safe my Brother!
Thinking the same thing but pretty sure this interview was done late Aug & this Washougal crash just happened a few days ago. Wow, too much irony here in this interview. He really got hurt again!
Love the general moto talk at the end. As a RynoPower sponsored vet rider I’m proud to represent a company and a dude that has the same values of community, individual progress, commitment, and FUN! 🤘
Last time I rode I took a jump for the first time I screamed in my helmet with joy I did it , my pace my speed zero fucks given ride for you & for joy if it’s anything else just step off
The only thing that actually matters at the end of the day is the physics in gameplay and ever since nordic took over thats the only think lacking there is no point having awesome tracks super good graphics if at the end of the day the game sucks and you can tell by the way it plays that it will suck on release day they should just put alive ground physics on set it and tweek that because all out physics are so far off that its beyond tweeking it needs a full restructure
So this dude is far more proficient on a motorcycle than I could ever be and I'm very very glad this legend is okay. I gotta say tho it's super ironic that the anti neck brace dude broke his shit lmao
I’ve never heard him say they don’t help during a crash. Ive heard him say they lead to poor technique and mindset which can lead to a crash. 100% my own experience, and also what we saw with Marvin this year. There is definitely some truth there.
I respect Ryan, but I don't agree about what he said at 32:30. There is one sport and it is called MTB, and precisely Downhill or Enduro. Look and UCI's DH cups or World Championship. Or if you are into FMX check Darkfest 2021 highlights or Crankworx slopestyle. Speed 50+, jumps 80+ feet, drops, berms, flat turns, insanely rough terrain, tight competitions (margins between top 5 is about less a second) Suspension tech is there also - Fox, Ohlins, and others are using their top techs (LSC, HSC, LSR, HSR, air or coil sprung e.t.c). Fitness level and preparation between seasons and races are on a crazy level.

Beautifully said!
Ryno is a nutcase! Needs meds.

We need a part 3 follow up on the dude
I broke t 1 - t 10 and got rods and pins and it is hell recovering as we speak
Guy could sing his own praises all day
Yea I always thought he was a very self centered guy, kind of a cry baby to, but I think he is still a good dude.
@@mx500a4 yeah - same page.
Glad you are ok Ryan, hang in there and heal up. live to fight another day!
The man knows it all u can’t tell him anything.
Whatever I’m over it I can live without Ryno
Totally agree. Have a ton of respect for him as he was a badass in so many respects…he’s so completely full of himself these days

SO HYPED to see these interviews with RYNO! One of the Realest riders out there with some awesome stories.
I agree, the fun has been lost in the sport, I'm 50 and I'm get'n out my VHS Crusty movies right now!!! Bring the fun back!!!
Naw twitch n those guys are still having fun
@@dormantmenace ok?
This is rad! Ryno is not PC about anything and this is what moto dudes should do!! Man.. I'd love to chill with this dude 🤙
Get well RYNO!...from Wyoming USA 🇺🇸 🙏 🤠
One of the best episodes of Swap moto
What a cool honest guy. Never hear the other pro riders talk like that. Dam I wish I could ride like that as well
I like Ryno way better now than I ever did when he was an active Pro; I mean that in the most positive way, the guy is an animal! Huge respect.
I can relate after I snapped my femur I was scared to ride again I really was but after two weeks I was back to sitting in and the next week I was running the fields I couldn’t go out like that been riding since
Very interesting.... same for me. Challenges eliminate fear.
Ya gotta love ryno!.
Fight him Ryno! Kick his arse man.
There is nothing that reproduces the feeling of riding moto, dam straight bruther. Said that since a little boy.

Ryhno badass Dude
A highly intelligent and very deep individual. I love the parallels he is able to draw when he is explaining a concept, a sign of a very good teacher.
I'm glad he is ok, praying for a full recovery 🙏
I don't think this a video of his recent crash where he broke his neck.
Is this after his crash a week ago?
Need to make that a t shirt "I'm not just a tear off"
Thinking the same thing but pretty sure this interview was done late Aug & this Washougal crash just happened a few days ago. Wow, too much irony here in this interview. He really got hurt again!

And niss and nat. Biggess sing.
Love to see a short vet series . 5 rounds , 15 min motos..

Heal up soon Ryan....and no more competing!!!!
Too much F word, we all say it but it doesn't really sound good.
I wonder how he’s doing now, since his most recent wreck?
