Thank you 🙏🏻 i was so confused 🤷🏼♀️ and your video made me easy 🥰
Glad to hear that.. most welcome
Mam you said & it has been even mentioned in the slide that continuous bar retainers & linguoplates should never be placed above the middle third but it has been mentioned in the book that, it should be placed just above the middle third of anterior teeth to avoid unwanted tooth movement.
Wonderful explanation.
Thank you
it was really helpful ..i have one doubt can u please clear it

unable to understand primary function of indirect retainer
Mam in first figure , defination its class 2
Fulcrum line passes to most posterior teeth as you said.
But in this..the other side is passing through second last teeth
Confused mam
Now as i said in location in class 2 it is from abutment on distal extension side and this line is diagonal and it passes from the tooth which is present most posteriorly on the other side that is side where teeth are present so in that picture the most posterior tooth on opposite side of your edentulous space is 2nd molar so that line passes from 2nd molar and abutment from the side of your edentulous space
Mam the line passed from 1st molar distally
Why not 2nd molar distally.
I am still confused i didnt understand
No it’s not like distally or mesially it’s just that it passes through that particular tooth.. like that it can be said it is passing mesially from 2nd molar so that’s not the thing to be considered and whereas fulcrum line is an imaginary line nothing like it’s exact and all
Finally understood mam..thank you
Most Welcome
Please pronounce it as canine not ka nai en
