"Some had scares and some had scratches It made me wonder about their past And as I looked around I began to notice That we were nothing like the rest." Those lyrics I feel everybody should embrace how wonderful
I don’t know why people think scars are bad or ugly, they’re the only proof you have that you’ve lived a life that taught you the greatest lessons life has to teach… who would want to hide that? I look at someone who doesn’t have any scars and almost pity them, they don’t have the faintest idea what the real world is like
This reminds me of when my soul mate was alive and we sang and danced the house young Inlove euphoric! How how I miss you. See you in the next realm my love ❤️
You will see them again, I feel it. I know it. Thank you for loving so beautifully, what a priceless memory. I love like that never dies. 🥲 A soul as beautiful as yours will surely love again. ✨🤍
This song makes me happy. it reminds me of how I'm not the only person who is going through pain and when your realize that, you start feel free and believe everything might turn out alright. Can anyone related?
Everyone is talking about how this song makes them fell happier, better, etc. Actually, it has the opposite feeling in me, I feel sad, alone. I remember that she showed me this song 4 years ago, I miss that person a lot. Wish I could go back in time to feel that same feeling again, when this song hit me in a good way.
When i hear this song, i can't help but thinking of a small group of misfits, running away from their homes and families to be together. All they need is each other, nobody else. They all come from different backgrounds; every one of them has their own stories. But yet their stories merge, and their happy together. They get into all sorts of trouble, too. Probably something similar to Gravity Falls :3 that's just my take on it tho
I heard this song when I was in elementary school. I fell in love with it the first few seconds it started playing. It was a feeling I couldn’t explain when I listened to it. I felt pure joy and excitement visioning future adventures that I would have. Now it’s the summer where I graduated high school. Finding this song after years of looking, I felt the exact same emotions as I did then.
I imagine myself and my best friends walking through a forest, laughing, talking, and then we come across a clearing, and a lake, of which I heard was safe to swim in, and so we swam, having a good time, happy, wild and free, the autumn breeze and sun washing over us, again, happy, wild, and free
this song makes me want to just go through the forests in spring, when flowers are out and it is mid-warm temp with my mates... man its such a stress reliever
I honestly only remember my life in parts not specific things just sections, but I know why my brain does that because of the trauma I have caused myself with depression and what not.
I feel like this song is both happy and sad at the same time, its difficult for me to explain it but it sounds to me like it has a happy ending though and I like that
This song I first heard at my job at a movie theater audiorium after the final movie of the night ended. I was working that day and it was maybe 1 a.m. Brings back so many memories of my old friends and crazy times I had working there. Miss those days so much. :( 2012-2015.
Thinking about listening to this on a roadtrip to go cryptid hunting with them, in our old van. Drinking coffe and tea, passing by beautiful scenery and with an old radio playing
Keep hearing this song at work and it has been driving me mad trying to find out who sings it as it is such an excelllent song. Absolutely top tune. Thank God I have found out now.
am iw the only one who starts uncontrollably sobbing when they hear this because they think about their dog dying being happy in the afterlife in the image the animated vid paints? nobody else? okay im just gonna be in the corner bye bye
I listen to this at work all the time because the playlist is so damn short but i like it because it calms me down when shit goes wrong. God, I can't wait to leave that place but he song tells me there are better things and to hold on! 😁
When your a Heavy Metal & Hard Rock Music Fan. This is one of your favorite bands if you grew up having a favorite book like: "Where the Wild Things Are" Even though it was written before Nanna & the band where born.
I don't know why, but to me to me, it kinda feels like servants who have been with bad owners are escaping and they go through the forest to find their freedom. for example in the song it said "Some had scars and some had scratches, made me wonder about their past" and "As I looked around I began to notice, we were nothing like the rest." That's what it says to me.
You know Catherine, your perspective of this song matches the historical narrative of what escaping from the south was like for those people back then! Along with what you said, slaves that escaped through , say, the Underground Railroad actually did have to "...sleep until the sun goes down" because to evade recapture these men and women had to sleep in the cover of forests during the daytime. They would then awaken at sundown and reconfigure their perilous journey at night when it would be harder for slave catchers to see/kill them. History! :D
It is about fleeing a Scandinavian war during... the 1800s? Some on the road were refugees, others fleeing soldiers, etc. The "nothing like the rest" are refugees vs those scarred and scratched others.
Some had scars and some had scratches It made me wonder about their past And as i looked around I began to notice That we were nothing like the rest...
I was listening to this the first time I went to a big family spot named ocean city in maryland. Now we go there like every year and it’s so much fun. I come back to this song every once in a while for memories.
This song is so good! It makes me want to run off to the mountains on a misty day, slightly chilly. I would bring a friend of mine, and there we would discover a small tribe of people just like us. And we would finally be happy and free, as the wind blows our hair in our faces.
I've spent the last 2 weeks huming and siting out any thing close to a lyric to everyone around me to find out what this sing is called because I heard it so much at the mall and it got stuck in my head. So satisfying finally finding it.
i dont know why but this song makes me wanna go through a forest running in the summer and jump into a beautiful lake...

Ray Malone right when I read ur comment the exact lyrics came on just then Cx
Realizing you ran away to a place where people were already messed up and you had no scars your self
