Nobody does it better then Samantha Brown. I wasn't looking to join Disney's Vacation Club and probably wouldn't have watched this if she wasn't on it. Now I'm looking at it.
Lorri French I also loved her shows (especially "Great Hotels") and I recorded all the Disney episodes. I'm so glad I have them to watch now that they're not on TV anymore. I wanted nothing more than to win "A trip to WDW with Samantha Brown." I always knew that the one person I would want to be with on a Disney vacation was Sam. Think about it...who would be more fun than her? She would make it so Magical !!!
I've been a member since 1992 and I've never regretted it for one moment. We usually stay 7-10 days. This October we're staying over Halloween for 10 days and next year over Christmas for 13-14 days. We also got to stay at places we would never be able to if I weren't a DVC member. If we don't plan on using the points I can bank them or I can even rent them.
Samantha Brown is a great travel host. She could talk me into wanting to visit a prison or the arctic circle. I'm not so sure about Ken Podrocket though, he kind of strikes me as a bouncer from Atlantic City. Also, you could make a drinking game out of how many times people drop the word "magical". After enough use, the word loses any meaning. Unfortunately, this is par for the course in a Disney video. Although I'm only researching info for an upcoming 2-week stay at the resort, it's nice to hear about the vacation club and everything else Disney has to offer. Super impressed at the video and a +1 for Samantha Brown, the world's greatest travel host.
+Fifthrider She really is great! I've always enjoyed her shows, and I was really excited that she did this promo for Disney. However, I do agree that the guest testimonials all sound very similar. :-)
Josh, thank again for you and your family for sharing Disney. I have been watching your video library. I am a DVC owner, and love all things Disney. I am hoping to run into you on our next trip in September.
ResortTV1 Thanks for posting these videos! I especially enjoy putting the resort info channel on my hampton inn TV via roku on business trips. Makes me think I'm on vacation, thanks to you!
by my very loose math, if you normally stay at a moderate price resort for 5 days it would take 16 years of going go WDW to see any monitory benefit. And thats if you buy into the lowest DVC package and dont pay any interest or yearly fees. Has anyone else done this math?
Vwkarman2 no, Nobody's ever tried to calculate that before. You're the first! (LOL ;) The truth is, it's not an apples to apples comparison, so the math varies greatly depending on your situation, where you like to stay, when you travel, how big of a unit you need, etc.
+Vwkarman2 Interesting. I think the value comes in the fact that you can stay in a suite that would normally cost way more than a moderate resort, so you're not really comparing apples to apples here. DVC is not as good of a value for one or two people.
I have and DVC is way too expensive for the average working class family. It's much better for us to stay at either Art of Animation or Pop Century for 7-10 days, it's cheaper and it is Disney magic themed.
+Fury283 I think you can pay monthly like a mortgage, but I think you have to have some kind of down payment, like for a house. Either way, it actually works like a mortgage and even has a deed. My parents used to be members, but they sold it when we moved down here. The nice thing is that it really holds its value. By the way, the amount you pay is based on how many points you want per year.
lol omg. I just look at the prices to join. Between $18,000 and $40,000 just to sign up. I'm more of a under $40.00 a night at Kissimmee Main gate kind of guy.
LOL. Really? Those high shots of her just look silly. high waisted (is that the term?) dresses and the few times the camera dipped below, it was really clear she was expecting. Continuity be darned. And on the right, I see another video of her, from the waist up when she's not pregnant. Was the director a man?
"you have a full-sized kitchen... they're the same appliances that i have at home in my own kitchen. it's like i never left home!" because the first thing i think of when i go on vacation is how can i bring the drudgery of home with me? yeah we've at the park all day - now cook all of us dinner, mom!
@13:15 She's Standing in a Kidani 2 bedroom unit saying "Plus, there are two full bathrooms..." LOL. Samantha is literally standing right outside the *3rd* bathroom in all of those Kidani 2br units. Come on Sam... you're more alert than that. They didn't hide it.
We love looking at the Vacation Club and hopefully will be members next year. But i must say this video is not your best. It is very dry and her jokes are not well scripted. This video could have been a lot better and would honestly not make me want to buy in to the Club. Sorry Disney
Uhh....this is like two years old???? Welcome Home Wednesday's has been discontinued close to two years now and the Polynesian, Copper Creek and Boulder Ridge aren't included in the list of DVC resorts.
Ugh, the actors in the park playing Disney Princesses are more sincere than Samantha Brown. She must have been a used car salesperson in the past. I miss the not-so-sappy-sweet Disney videos.
This video is so pointless. I came here to learn about the program and pricing. Not to have to be dragged through propaganda filled advertisements. This video has the most pandering I have ever seen.
They really need to fire Samantha Brown. I can't stand her. I love watching these WDW shows, but I don't know why they always have the worst people to be in them. She's not funny, quirky, or remotely amusing (6:00 to 6:13 is a prime example) nor does she have the attractiveness factor (where you can just watch the video with the sound off). I felt the same way with Stacey, the girl from the shows running on your resort room TV
Nobody does it better then Samantha Brown. I wasn't looking to join Disney's Vacation Club and probably wouldn't have watched this if she wasn't on it. Now I'm looking at it.
+Art451 She's really good at what she does. She has a way of making almost anything interesting.
I always liked watching Samantha Brown , on the Travel Channel . Great video Thank you
+Lorri French You're welcome! I always loved watching her shows too, especially the Disney ones. :-)
I agree Lorri, there's no one better.
Lorri French

+Claude Herbert Very true! She would be the ultimate guide and travel partner!
+SaLoves Gem She's great!
No Disney home video will beat the fun and energy that was the 2005 video
That one was really fun!
Simon Kawasaki it was ok 👌

+Nancy Nolan Nice! I completely agree. It really is a great program, and it really does make sense for people who regularly visit WDW.
Nancy Nolan Davids Vacation Club Rentals is great if you have some points you're willing to rent out!
I think we all need a little Disney magic right now. This hit the spot!
Samantha Brown is a great travel host. She could talk me into wanting to visit a prison or the arctic circle. Wow I used to watch Samantha Brown old show on Travel Channel
Hopper Challenge - video 263
I love Samantha Brown! I got the chance to meet her a few years ago. She was so nice and talked for a few minutes.
we love having dvc it been a great investment for us !!! and the cruise was awesome!!!!!!!...
+AlizeMcfarlin Mcfarlin DVC is awesome. I wish we still had it. We sold it when we moved to Florida.
Hey if we can have Samantha come with our Disney package it’s a definite Go👍
16:30 I'm disappointed they don't have a resort in Antarctica. Come on Disney! 😂😂😂😂😂
TheMightyKinkle who should go there? It so cold 🥶 there
@@tiffprendergast it's tempting
I think we've stayed in most and the one we keep coming back to is old key west, for me the best of all.
+jonny5777 I love that one too. We stayed there a lot while I was growing up, so it brings back great memories for me!
you're buying 45 years worth of disney hotel discount in order to enjoy disney hotel discount for 45 years?
Michael sells DVC resale now. Oh, the irony. Lol. Thanks for uploading this!
+ScubaCat3 You're talking about the CM that is featured later in the video? Who is he?
ResortTV1 www.dvcresalemarket.com/about-us/agents/mike-collier/
+ScubaCat3 Interesting. Thanks!
ResortTV1 Thanks for posting these videos! I especially enjoy putting the resort info channel on my hampton inn TV via roku on business trips. Makes me think I'm on vacation, thanks to you!
+ScubaCat3 You're welcome! I do the same thing on my Apple TV at home.
Is this the one in California
+Maddalonefarms It shows both Florida and California.

a lot of people stay more than once a year.
You forgot about the Polynesian Villas and Bungalows. That is also a dvc resort
This is an old video that was made before these were open.
@@ResortTV1 Let alone the new Rivera.
I didn’t hear welcome home 🏡 when I was there for my birthday last month
Thanks for posting this, I'm actually looking into doing this. :)
+Fury283 Awesome! DVC is the best!
I'm still a bit confused on how it works really after research. You choose how many points you want and you just pay monthly for so many years?
+Fury283 I think you can pay monthly like a mortgage, but I think you have to have some kind of down payment, like for a house. Either way, it actually works like a mortgage and even has a deed. Got it. Was just curious on how it worked. I might have to do it then since I enjoy going.
+Fury283 Are you still thinking of a move down here?
Great informative video! But it's 2017 so why did she call it downtown Disney? It's Disney springs now
+Whitlee Goode This Video was shot a couple years ago.
Okay, thanks. Just confused since the title says "2017" and copper creek just opened so I thought it was new.
I'd do it if I was rich because prices start from like $18,000
You'd never recover it.
DVC invented many of the sales scams adopted by other timeshares.
Oh wow
lol omg. I just look at the prices to join. Between $18,000 and $40,000 just to sign up. I'm more of a under $40.00 a night at Kissimmee Main gate kind of guy.
+coldplayplayer15 Yeah. It's really expensive. We used to stay at the main gate on 192 as well. :-)

#APPRECIATEHISTORY
Um..... Why did you skip the Polynesian Resort? There are DVC rooms there as well. Weird.
I didn't make this video, Disney did, and apparently, they haven't updated it to include that.
Thanks! Just so odd! Appreciate the reply!
+Loretta C You're welcome. Hopefully, they'll update it soon. If they do, I'll post an update. :-)
I have 2- DVC for sale.
How old is this lol she still calls it downtown Disney
It's been renamed to Disney Springs.
+Stacie Wells I guess she's talking about the Disneyland one. I did watch this, but it's been a few weeks, and I didn't remember that part.
I was referring to the part where she mentioned "Downtown Disney" being close to Saratoga Springs which is in Disneyworld.
+Stacie Wells Yeah. I remember that part. This might have been shot a year or two ago, even though it says it's the current version.
well she gave birth to her twins in January 2013.....so i want to say this is at least 4 years ago
@13:15 She's Standing in a Kidani 2 bedroom unit saying "Plus, there are two full bathrooms..."
LOL. Samantha is literally standing right outside the *3rd* bathroom in all of those Kidani 2br units.

This is the latest version that they have made available. Apparently, they haven't updated it. Still a good watch though, despite a few details.
this is too much work & crowds for a vacation....go to a national park, like the smoky Mtns...
Everyone likes different things. I've been to several National Parks, and I enjoy them as well as Disney.
4:29 DisneyQuest lol
Same ol Downtown Disney bit for a 2017 promotion
+보ㅙ모 Yes. They need to update it.
Well, it sounds good but those gators lurking around IDK
Ugh, the actors in the park playing Disney Princesses are more sincere than Samantha Brown. She must have been a used car salesperson in the past. I miss the not-so-sappy-sweet Disney videos.

Not a chance, not on this planet or any other.
