May 10, 2020 has arrived, we celebrate 20 full years of Dino Crisis 2! and what glorious 20 years those were, the day this game arrived i myself never knew i would one day love it so dearly even after its heyday of glory and more than 20 years into the future.
My Friends, we have seen an entire generation come and go since the release of Dino Crisis 2. May 10 , 2021 has arrived, we celebrate 21 years of Dino crisis 2. It was a great trip since its release ,21 years, and for all those years, our love for the game kept us coming back, listening to the beautiful melodies, and watching gameplay across the internet in many thousands. But in our hearts we still kept hoping, and we still hope, that one day, we will get not only a remake of Dino crisis 1 or 2, no, we hope for more. Our hopes are still strong that one day we will see our dream come true, Dino Crisis 4 released for our favorite platforms.
But as of now......Still no DC4.

Laying back in my chair, listening to the music and reminiscing over the days when I was around 5 years old and watched my dad play the game, because I was too scared to play it myself.
One of my most memorable childhood games, probably the game that I've finished the most amount of times, an absolute masterpiece.

Lord Inquisitor Ninoslav :) you know, I bought Dino Crisis 1 & 2 again via the latest Flash Sale from PSN and man, the nostalgia. Dino Crisis 2 is one of my fav games from the PS1 era. So I've decided tosearch for the OST to relive the memories and I've found your video. I'm grateful as well man.

Yes, they need to illustrate how Regina saved Dylan and the events that led to the Noah's Ark plan. Also, they could end Regina's story as a trilogy, where they fix the crack in the time space continuum caused by the first incident back in the first Dino Crisis.

+Aolo Aolo sure. Here it goes. I will try to keep it simple and not use fancy terms.
Dino Crisis 2 is more connected to Dino Crisis 1 than it appears to be. Remember the first incident that took place in Borginia in 2009?
Well, you see, that incident left a crack in space-time that would cause anomalies during the course of Earth's evolution, creating irreversible effects in the evolution of the planet and in human evolution.
Dino Crisis 1's incident brought to the present time a jungle from the PAST (Cretaceous Period). The incident that occurred in Dino Crisis 2's displaced our time with a jungle from the FUTURE (Noah's Ark one).
The basic idea of Noah's Ark plan - which was carried by Dylan Morton himself in 2055 - was to solve the anomaly by sending the misplaced dinosaurs from the past into a future with a similar environment where they could be unaffected by the alterations - 3 million years in the future to be precise.
See how it connects?
For the events of Dino Crisis 2 to happen, the Noah's Ark plan needed to happen. But without the Third Energy tech extracted by Regina and Dylan in the game, the Time Gate technology used in 2055 would not exist!
Future Dylan figured that out and set up the satellite to help his younger self against the Dinosaurs in his quest in 2010.
One of the main goals of the plan was to PRESERVE the dinosaurs and send them back to their original time. They set up a supercomputer capable of providing a life-support system and mental condition for the creatures. Also, it would provide an environment where humans could coexist with dinosaurs.
*The big problem is that said computer became corrupt. The dinosaurs woke up and containment was breached. A huge amount of casualties and incidents followed, including the death of Morton's then wife Julia. The plan was about to fail.*
*Further in time, the supercomputer became more corrupt and began arbitrarily swapping time and space from the 20th and 21st centuries, which led to the events of Dino Crisis 2.*
The helmet people we see in the game are survivors, children of the people of the future, that were placed in life-support systems when the crisis began, and were tasked on protecting the now rogue dinosaurs. Paula, Dylan's daughter, is among them.
Also, the scenarios we visit in the game, are the Edward City from 2010, now mixed in the future with the Noah's Ark complex. I believe we play the game in the future or in another mix of space and time. It is speculated that TRAT and SORT teams arrived via time gate there after 15 years the city was misplaced into the future.

To Celebrate 20 years of Dino Crisis 2, i will write my own story of what i did back in the day as a kid when i played Dino Crisis 2. i wish for all of you to do the same if you so desire, today is a great day. May 10. 2020. Happy Anniversary.

Took me 7 hours to finish this game when i was young for the first time...i think i wasted my time doing extinction runs across the first jungle areas, i was a way to rich with points, hunted down everything in sight, upgrading rifles to have insane ammo counts for no reason, tried to kill T-Rex in the military base for the first time, FOR 30 MINUTES, just spaming gun fire into him from both shotgun and plasma rifle, what young brain wants, it tries to achieve, also the fact that i didnt understood english at the time made it that much funnier when that dialog says you cant kill T-rex with common weapons.
also i think i spent at least 5 hours minimum per playthrough later and during the first one ive spent 11 or so hours, clicking on everything to see what it can do, to see what it says, this game taught me english.
In military base, when you enter the building, i spent once hour or so trying to enter that door that had debris over it and you cant enter it, i wanted to enter it, i thought i could enter it. went on killing everything, thinking it will trigger something to open it.
Then that jeep blocking the road, you guessed it ,i tried passing through it, to no avail. That collapsed tunel, I TRIED to pass through it endlessly, each and every play through, back when i was young in 2001 or 2.
also i tried finding survivors, for damn hours....sigh. that guy in 3d facility where you have to go underwater, the one that died and his data pad told you about a key card in the river stream....i tried saving him..yeah, after learning a bit of english from insane amount of playing this game, and realizing he has been dead for just 2 or so days, i tried saving his ass by rushing the game on one of the many many playthroughs , hoping that by some damn miracle he will be alive and i will get his ass alive, heh, tried saving all those personnel in research facility as well...
i also tried to find secret passageways into the jungles by clicking on everything while running against the wall. didnt work so well, spent 11 hours once in my play through when i was a kid, just doing that, hoping to find a new stage. also, i never had a memory card, so these insane feats were accomplished in one day and one sitting.
ive done that, and so many other things when i played this game. At the time i thought this game was godlike, with endless options, like i expected the game to be more than it is, far far more. The might of child's imagination is a powerful thing indeed, i dont regret a single thing i did in this game, i had fun, and still play it each May 10, as a tradition.
Best game i ever played on PS1, and probably one of my top 5 games ever, this game definitively marked my childhood, in so many ways.

May 10, 2022 has arrived, we celebrate 22 years of Dino Crisis 2. although i desired to make a more elaborate video to commemorate this special occasion .considering it was exactly 20 years ago that i got my own copy of Dino Crisis 2, i was simply out of time and had no resources to make such a great video. if i am more fortunate next year, i promise i will make a video, a sort of nostalgic run where i talk about how this game changed my life.
I will take my time to thank Matias Gulin for his eternal vigilance, and for taking his time to reminds me of my promise to keep this updated. and i will. so long as youtube exists, so long as i have access to internet, i will continue commemorating this occasion. I owe this game learning english and all the wonderful moments i have shared with so many fine people, especially in the comment section.
We have entered this year with a great prospects for dino crisis 2 sequel, if not by Capcom, then by the fans, for i have seen unbelivable mods and remakes of Dino Crisis 2 on the internet. if we are fortunate, next year we may get official Dino Crisis I remake announcement. and Who knows , a fan made Dino Crisis 2!

May 10, 2023 has arrived, we celebrate 23 glorious years of Dino Crisis 2! Unfortunately, still there is no Dino Crisis 4, Capcom tests our endurance, but we will get our game one day!
This game , just like our love for it, doesnt age, we still, patiently and with great optimism wait for the sequel to our beloved game. Although it has been 23 years since the 3rd energy incident CAPCOM is still yet to recover the Time Gate data and bring us what we have been waiting for the majority of our lives. In years up until this moment we have seen plenty of projects made by fans in honour of Dino Crisis. such as :

I completed this game in all difficulties and unlock the secret games and the dino-characters.
Few pieces of art have been impregnated as strongly in my consciousness as this game has.
Since i was a baby i always liked dinos, for some reason. Used to have toys and loved the animated cartoons of almost any dinosaur and, of course, the first jurassic park movie of the trilogy.
Is strange how something that you like so much remains in your mind so strongly.
Is that even today i dream with scenarios like those in that movie; kind of very very techologicall and very very pure nature.
I produce electronic music, and i hope i'm going to try to craft something inspired in this kind of landscapes and stylistics ideas one day.
just imagine a remake of this masterpiece ='D

you know, thrid person shooter, but with good surrounding, and with good action, not just "Quick time events" and bunch of bullshit. After all DC2 was good because of its action, and its great music, the atmosphere was there, everything was spot on, i am not sure Capcom can create the same level of musical quality for DC4, let alone Action and Story...
Unfortunately, Capcom has no interest in doing another Dino Crisis or Onimusha. Sad really.

This game basically teached me English. To hear this soundtrack again is just... Undescribeable. Amazing.
Same hear friend, playing this hundreds of times and clicking on everything just to see what it says taught me english. i would be illiterate when it comes to english if it werent for this game.
Although the English dub does have some weird phrasing and corny lines. Lol. Still love it though.

I've never played Dino Crisis, but they look really good for being that old. I don't think PSX had all that many high-octane action games with epic storylines like this

So sad no sequel has happened, had an emotional soundtrack for nostalgia. likeable characters, fun gameplay yet they still insist in recycling zombies. if only they would make a remake! remaster or sequel. This my favorite ps1 game. I played this game in 2007 When I was 6 years. I love this game. I hope Capcom makes a remake , Dino Crisis deserves it

One can dream, well RE4 Remake was very good. It had small issues of being a bit too western but overall it was really good. Capcom is a pretty good company now releasing hit after hit be that remake or successor so one can actually hope now that we can get something great

Did you see the results of the 'Capcom Super Elections'? Dino Crisis ranked first in the question "Is there any Capcom game series you would like to see get a sequel or new game?". Of course, we won't see a new Dino Crisis next year, but I'm sure we'll see a new Dino Crisis sooner than we imagined.

Anti Satellite Attack is one of the most unique pieces of OST I ever heard in any game, it perfectly succeeds to transmit the power of the colossal creature and the magnitude of the apocalyptical situation the character encounters himself.
Definitly is in my top 10 OSTS of all time.

The main theme that plays in the end is really fantastic, the composer just nailed it, it has its sad and nostalgic vibe, then enigmatic and even scary with its chants and still hopeful in the end. Good piece of music for the ending of this story. Together with the footage from the game video with dinosaurs living their life it's just great. Really got me impressed when I was a kid and still does haha

What would i do without you my friend. i was giving it some thought, wheather to update now with text, or make a special video, it is 20 years for me, if i recall correctly since i got my very own Dino Crisis 2. still have the cd that works. So either i will update within next few days, or have a video up, some sort of nostalgic discussion as i play DC2, i am still thinking.

That's so cool to hear that Dino Crisis 2 helped you learn English. Like you this is one of my favorite games ever. Shu Takumi and the boys knocked it out of the park. When I was like 5-6, shortly after beating the game for the first time, I used to go to that field section right outside the military facility and let the game idle all day on those screens. I LOVED Jurassic Park 2 and that area always reminded me of "Don't go into the long grass!!" I loved and the sounds of the Dinos and droning insects in the background. The atmosphere was so palpable. I think I had my first profound moment in gaming during the credits. When the music suddenly changes to that soft beautiful overture with piano and trumpet and you see the dinosaurs in their natural habitat, behaving naturally. I remember thinking wow theyre animals just like us, not inherently evil, just trying to survive. Thanks for uploading the soundtrack!

I recall watching those vidoes about Rex project. they looked amazing. next may 10th i will play this game with that HD mod. I do have the need to have another go at DC2.

in the first dino crisis the dinosaurus came to the present because the 3rd energy made by Doctor Kirk and in the second game.....the facilitys....a city and a town dissapeared and transported to the very far last...in the cretaceus era
You know it's a great game when after ten years of not playing it or seeing anything of it, it suddenly comes to your mind so that you watch some related stuff on youtube like its OST and now want to play it again.

The game that WAS my childhood, the very first game that i ever played on any console. So much memories, I want so bad a remake ,considering of awesome the RE2 remake was, the top level of quality on a classic 90s game, is something that i want to see on this one so bad. I hope that ...one day...in the future, we can get a remake of Dino Crisis 1 and 2. Sorry for my bad english, but this is... right in the nostalgia.
When I was younger I watched my brother play it until I was old enough to understand basically everything about the story and not just the Dino's part, but during both my brothers play through and mine was your encounters with the Allosaurus and how they were tough and nimble on their feet, plus their enraged mode when you've peeved them off.

I, badly, want a continuation of the series, so our cliffhanger will be resolved at long last! Besides, I'd LOVE a remaster of the first two games as well. It would give us a chance to make use of better lighting effects to amp up the already creepy atmosphere of the first game, while giving us a chance to get a clear look at the expression Kirk made, when Gale pointed his gun at him in front of his lab. LMAO I just die laughing, every time I get to that part, so I can only imagine just how PRICELESS he must look, if we had a better look at his face in that cut-scene. :D
This game is a masterpiece. It deserves a remake
My favorite part in the whole game its when you go back to the gate of Edward City after you went diving into the claustrophobic underwater instalation with Regina. I meant you get into Dylan's shoes again, then you get the Antitank Rifle, then go into a volcano just to make your way out and fight outnumbered Allosaurus and if that wasnt enough you get chased by Papa and Moma Ceratops... Priceless, this game has it all.
When i was little, i loved the part in Edward City, it was my favorite. even though i spent most of the time in jungles, racking up hundreds of kills. :)
