Notes:
Paper Measurements
➥To determine the size of the paper lay box down on paper. Width of paper (Timestamp: 0:02) will be enough to wrap around box with a few inches of overlap.
Height of paper (Timestamp: 0:06) will be 1 box length (back of box) + 2 box heights (2 sides of box) + 2/3 box length (front of box).

I just tried to wrap a gift using this method, but it didn’t work out :( I’m not sure if it’s because of the paper, or if the book I tried to wrap is too thin? (1 cm)
The dimensions of the paper you used and mentioned in the description (46.99 cm x 46.99 cm) - are these the dimensions of the finished sheet you bought, or are they the dimensions after cutting?
I’m asking because I’d like to compare your measurements with mine, as maybe I measured something wrong :/
Oh yes, it's the thinness of that particular book. You should still have one usable pocket. That can be quite beautiful too so work with what you have. 🙂 Thank you for trying (I hope you try again at another point). ~Wishing you a wonderful 2024! ❤

Of course, I’ll try the wrapping method with two pockets on other thicker boxes :)
For this particular flattish book, use either of these pocket techniques instead: th-cam.com/video/Qpcthrbe0V8/w-d-xo.html Either one will save you paper (and they're quite easy to do!). Of course it will be slightly different for you because your book is so flat but it's just a minor adjustment. I believe it will be quite cute anyway. ~I love your amazing, open-minded spirit. I just managed to wrap a book for my nephew (one pocket), BUT there’s one thing 😅
It’s a children’s book and the book has rounded edges on one side 🙈, so the folds at the finish aren’t very precise. Is there a way to nicely cover this up? 🤭

Learning new things will make you want to pull your hair out sometimes. I believe you will get there with time. Sometimes it is best to practice with newspaper first. 😅 Cheers. ❤
