Just purchased from home depot with the extended warranty. Will be delivered next week.
Really wanted the Samsung with the 4 front doors and the flex door.... however, the builder's that built our condo thought it would be funny to give us exactly 55" in width, meaning every "standard" 55.75 inch refrigerator will never fit.
This was the only model Home Depot had that would work. Samsung made one, however it was too deep. It was 36 in in-depth and we needed 34 or less. Unbelievable LOL I hope this LG we settled on works for us.
That fridge has a second ice maker in the freezer just underneath where the ice bin is. There is an on off switch on the front of it. Even the salesperson at my local store didn't know it had this feature.

I loved mine until it started having issues. Finally after 6 repairs in a year we had to replace it. I still do miss the size.

Our new LG refrigerator failed so we finally found out that these units are junk after no repair person would work on them, so we were told there was this class action lawsuit and we needed to contact LG. LG customer service was a joke as they used a specific deterrence tactic to prevent LG from having to replace there poorly make refrigerators. They say their policy is that they will replace the unit after 3 documented work orders to fix it, so when you contact them after the third repair fails they just say they have not documentation of a third work order and continuously have to keep submitting work orders to have a repair person do the same repair that does not work! In the mean time, initially my family and I got very sick due to the high temps the refrigerator and now were have no refrigerator through the holidays!!!! This process has now exceeded two months and is not resolved! We will look into a lawsuit in our area as well.
that's terrible! when did you buy it? what is the issue? we've been shopping for a new fridge after 25 years with our current Kenmore, and the stores claim LGs have the BEST warranty! Doesn't sound like it.

Their warranty is that they will through approximately five diversion tactics at you to draw out the process to about 2 months until they agree they need to reimburse you for the junk they made. In the mean time you need to store a broken refrigerator and buy a new one on your dime! We are now on month 3 waiting to get our reimbursement and they can't manage to send us an email to receive a FedEx labels to mail the refrigerator label to them to verify the make and model. Who gets an email wrong twice after repeating it to them and they loose one of your 3 required repair reports to push out the process out longer.
You mentioned the temp cycling thru. So if u continue to press refrigerator , temp goes down until it hits the highest temp again?

Is it still working good? I read a lot of reviews that it's not durable beyond 6 months to a couple of years. Also read that LG customer service and warranty service are atrocious.
It has only been 4 months since we bought this fridge but so far so good! I do agree when I was doing my research LG did not have good reviews for their repairs, but the quality of their refrigerators was better than other brands. Since the chances of it breaking down are less than other brands I'm crossing my fingers that I don't get a lemon and need repairs.
I had bad luck with ours. First the freezer quit freezing and now the fridge isn't getting as cold as it should. All done with Samsung and lg.

Whirlpool seems to be the only brand that seems to be reliable. If anything get the extended warranty and make sure they level it!
FYI, The eggs are supposed to go where you have the butter on the top of the door, along with the butter.
You are correct, you could put eggs in that compartment. I choose not to because it is very deep and it is inconvenient to try and dig the egg carton out of there...
I’m OK putting butter in that compartment . . .but eggs are safer, stored in the middle of the fridge where it’s the coldest.

Denise, I have this fridge. The freezer bins are adjustable and will easily fit a small turkey. Otherwise, a large deep freeze is a great companion for this fridge. You can also tell your butcher when you need a fresh turkey and it will easily fit in the upper fridge.
I agree with R Dens4d the freezer is adjustable and you should be able to fit a frozen turkey in the bottom drawer. Of course I won't know until Thanksgiving!

DO NOT BUY AN LG, they have Nationwide lawsuits due to thousands of compressor failures, look it up 💩.

I’m looking for a new counter depth fridge. I chose a Samsung model, but discovered a lawsuit against Samsung and their ice makers... I’m about to cancel the order and I’m in search for a different brand/model... thanks for the video 👍
I'm so sorry I didn't see this earlier. So far so good after 4 months. We almost bought a Samsung also! But the ice maker was a huge drawback for why we chose not to go with it.

Make sure it's level! They get temperamental if it's not level!

I wish they make one without the ice maker. It's totally useless for me. I think I may go for this, since it uses the least room for the ice maker. Hopefully I can rip the ice maker out and use that space for something.
I don't think you'll be able to use the space inside the refrigerator door where the ice maker is for anything practical, but the good news is you can totally remove the container that's in the freezer for storing extra ice in and have more freezer space!
I got a black ss one....the only regret I have is not buying the door in door or insta view one:( The right door slams so much and items are hard to access.
Other than that it's working well so far. I use the ice maker bin to store ice packs. The only annoying thing is that turning off the ice maker doesn't stop the turners from engaging. Luckily I don't have kids.
@@FlyingPigNJ Door in door is just another opportunity for failure. The button to open the door on my friends broke somehow and he doesn't use it anymore. Plus, that compartment is warmer than the rest of the fridge.
@@KungFuMojo It certainly is....but all the appliances these days are almost disposable anyway. This fridge is super cold, even at warmer temperature, it's still perfect for beers. (don't put milk there!) My biggest gripe with this fridge is the heavy door slamming. Almost everything else is perfect.

The water filter is inside the refrigerator compartment, when you open the left hand door it is in the top left corner attached to the ceiling.
Before you spend your money Google LG compressor failures, their class action lawsuits against it also, ours failed in just 2-1/2 years, thank God we never bought it at a big box store and got ours from a small town dealer, HE brought us a loaner that we had for a month waiting for parts, New Compressor, brought it back and now I have to set it as low as it goes, 33 degrees for it to cool down to 38-42 degrees, that's totally marginal for keeping food from spoiling AND is typical after new compressor is put in, the life span of a new compressor on the sites that I've researched says it's only like 3-4 months before it fails again, LG sucks in the refrigerator department, check on a GE profile , I now own a $2500.00 boat anchor 😠.

mine just broke. repair tec. said it was un repairable and we have to get a new one. it was 2 years old. complete trash don't buy lg!

counter debt has less space. So … either go with LOOKS for the outside, or FUNTIONALITY for the inside of the fridge. I go with functionality. Sick of a jam-packed fridge. We want SPACE!!!
