Hi Mark, instead of removing your rocker cover , just put your finger over number 1 spark plug hole , when you feel compression , you'll know it's on the right stroke , also there is a timing mark under the triangle triumph plate . Cheers .
The Lucas Rita system IS a very good system,I have 3 tridents,they all have the system on them, only 2 things to check is the connection under the points cover is good and make sure the aluminium Rita case is well earthed, why not join the trident and rocket 3 owner s club? Plenty of information also at triples on line web site, good luck with trident ownership.
Hi Sadly not, Tappet clearances i done in situ and are easy enough to do, although the front cylinder does require oil cooler to be removed to get better access.

Hi are you doing any more ,video guides on the t160 , Ie torqueing the head down plus tappet clearance, cheers
