this was one of the most profound movies i have ever seen. i get why it bombed, it was WAAAAAAAY too cerebral and all over the place to be a hit, but i love that sort of thing so i could give myself over to it.

When I first saw the trailers of this movie I thought it’s a movie about reincarnation when I saw the movie it’s also show how everything is connected and how some and similar patterns keep happening though out history like lovers found each other, discovers and exploring, slaves fight against their masters , war , rise and fall of civilizations and solving the mysteries of the universe and the past and the truth.
I have been longing for more wachowski films!! I also love the series Sense 8!

I watched this 10 years ago if I'm not mistaken.
I was young, selfish, and immature. I'm not saying that all these attributes have now disappeared in me. I still am somehow self-centered and imperfect in so many ways. However, i can confidently say that i have come far from what I was 10 years ago.
There are still so many things I need to work on with myself to be the best version of me.
This movie inspires me to never lose faith in doing the right thing, to choose goodness over evil.
I have committed a lot of bac things in the past and over the years, and I kinda feel that I have now paid all my dues.
I want to be a decent and kind person without the expectation that I will be rewarded with the good things I do in life.
I want to do it because it is the right thing to do .
I'm not a religious person, but if there is a God [entity] that is above everything else in this universe, I hope and pray to give me the strength and determination to become the best version of myself.....
There is a great interconnectedness, where cycles of time manifest within souls and come together in awareness, which bring about a deeper meaning to life, beautiful!

This movie was too deep too smart and too cerebral for the status quo. I remember watching this with an ex and he passed out and thought it was stupid cuz it made him think.
This movie brings me to tears EVERY TIME I literally just finished it again. I always watch it when I feel like my heart and souls needs a reminder that there is always love . This is easily the most beautiful movie I have ever seen. The book is a masterpiece. I wish people would give this movie some time and full attention.

The greatest part about Cloud Atlas was that "future" was actually the great distant, highly advanced past because that fabricant 'techno-past' girl would live on in spirit to become the savior messiah/messenger of the barbaric and savage cannibalistic present; so that "past" was actually the present lol. In my vision "Tom Hanks" of 2012 is not a murderer if we look at the whole picture of the tell in a holistic way. As time doesn't exist in a linear way, all the parallel universes are happening at the same time. So if we compare 2012 and 2321 timelines "Tom Hanks" had probably different conditioning in his life that build totally different egos.
In 2321 he lives in deep fear and has his energy to face "Hugh Grant" blocked. In 2012 this is upside down, so he is very bold and impulsive.
So if we see both situations happening at the same time, 2012 is the only parallel were he has the energy to do what he needs in order to face "Hugh Grant" and he acts with the spirit impressions of the "future". This reflects in 2321 giving him the courage to face him with the echos of the "past".

This is one of my favorite movies. I feel connected to the world at the same time lonely.

11:09 Actually, that makes do much sense with dreaming and music. Music was there before humans were: the oldest known musical instrument was made by a Neanderthal and caves were like cathedrals, centres os spiritual gathering where music played a big role. Stalactites were used as an organ and caves were viewed as the wombs of Mother Earth. Also, there are theories that music originated in the mother-child relationship as lullabies which calmed the child because its repititions created a rhythym against all the chaotic new sounds a baby hears.

Saw this years ago in my mid 20s and have gotten the itch to rewatch bow in my early 30s. I feel like it was pretty negative when i first watched it and the part when they repurpose the asian girls bodies for food felt like something that was true in our reality. Creeped me out a lot tbh interested to see how i view it now
