LOVE this Video, I've got the Aquael Pat Mini in both of my Nano tanks (12 gal long) and 5.5 gal, it's far and away my Fav! No more 'fish tank noise'. Thank you for featuring the Mr Aqua, mine has Blue Dreams, Danio Choprae & Endlers and they're so happy. :)
I have the same filter on my 55litre tank and I honestly couldn't fault it. however I do use the hanger and suction cups together also the spade fits on the end of the bit you used. but can't remember it's name. but that's a really nice scape you done also
I had to place netting over the holes of the powerhead as I heard newborn shrimplets can get sucked in them the filter sponge that comes with it is not small enough for shrimplets to crawl through the holes, so not making it 100% shrimp safe. Has anyone else heard of these potential issues with this filter?
@BlakesAquatics sorry for confusion I meant on top of the pump not the attachment piece that draws air. Unless there's 2 that draws air? Thank-you for a quick response I struggled with this filter and I've had fish and shrimp for 4 years 😂

I love the aquael pat mini filter and aquael ultra heater, great products
Have to agree 🙌
Great video, I think I might do a dry start on my new tank when the light turns up. Similar plants too
The shrimp are stunning!
Breeder box to fill the tank.. full of good ideas Mr Blake. Love that it's shrimp 😁. Hopefully they don't wander out of the tank

I really Want to try the dry start method one day!
Such an interesting tank size
I have the Pat mini connected to a standard double sponge it’s a perfect fit 👍
oh wow great hack!
Great litte filter cheap to buy, cheap to run. I have a few of them in my shrimp tanks
So good for shrimp 👌
Good video
All the work and the only inhabitants are shrimp?
How have you found the heater. I have seen mixed reviews of these heaters. That they are not close to the set temperature
I have heard the same thing but I have run 2 of them for years with 0 issues

I have not. the sponge should be plenty?
What's the top air line for?
Thats called a venturi line, basically the pump draws air down and can spit out bubbles if you want that
@BlakesAquatics sorry for confusion I meant on top of the pump not the attachment piece that draws air. Unless there's 2 that draws air? Thank-you for a quick response I struggled with this filter and I've had fish and shrimp for 4 years 😂
@@Seahawks360 that one just lets air out of the motor when its submerged so it doesnt get trapped i believe
Yo bro, how many gallons is this tank? I plan to do something like this soon
About 5 gals
